Thank you for mentioning my speakers - the MLTL-6 stand mount are either DIY, or finished - build manual is $100 and flat packs are available soon at $350 plus shipping. Completed pairs with the soft dome tweeters I am planning on selling for $2500/pr plus delivery.

I must have just missed Nemo. Luckily, he had managed to get to a lot of the rooms that I had missed! But, we rarely have time to see and do everything at these shows. It also depends on who you end up running into at the show. Myself, I was concentrating on things that I feel are a good value, and in my price range or slightly above it. Like most technical people, I tend to be practical and don't really want to pay for audio jewelry or glitz. It was fun to hear things KZbinrs had reviewed, and see if I had agreed with their impressions and comparisons.

I know they’re not cheap but you save on the other components and those little things are supposed to sound massive for their size and go down to 30Hz! Love what you do 👍🏼

Have you been to the Magnepan room yet? My buddy got a call from a friend of his that is there at Axpona, and he was raving about the LRS+ speakers. I just set mine up today, and they are incredible. I cannot believe these only cost $1100 delivered direct from Magnepan. They are cleaning the floor with my Zu's right now... Poor Zu's. 😞

May I ask what Zu speakers you have? I was thinking about getting some. What do you like so much about the magnepans? Also does it offer any bass at all or you absolutely have to have a sub? @@VictorEnnis-n1w I have the Zu DW6 Supremes in triple black, and they look sexy. They also sound fantastic. Then the LRS+ entered the room. The LRS+ were a bit harsh at first, but after an hour or so they started loosening up and really sounding phenomenal. Yes, better than the Zu's. The way the LRS+ handle the midrange and top end is hard to explain when comparing to the Zu's. The Maggies have a more natural presentation vs sound from a box. Just a better overall listening experience. The bass... The LRS+, at least in my room, have plenty of bass, if not too much. I used the Rolls SX45 active crossover to shift the low end off to my subs. The crossover really opened up the LRS+ speakers, they really opened up, and the extra stress of the low end was shifted away from the amplifier and off to the subs. I would recommend at least one sub with these speakers. The REL T-Zero Mark III seems very popular, I have a pair on the way. I have mine out around five feet into the room. I went to Amazon and spent $20 ea for flat panel TV stand legs. They bolted right up and look very much like the $300 ones Maggie sells. I would recommend getting a pair, they look factory and you can adjust the height of the speaker with ease. And they hold the speakers vertical. Worth the $40. I started off running these LRS+ on my Fosi ZA3 amp. The ZA3 did not even break a sweat and drove the Maggies with ease. But, they sounded a bit 2 dimensional, so I dragged out my old Emotiva XPA2, this is their first gen Class A/B amp and it sounded fantastic with the Maggies. I would say look for an amp, Class A/B that is at least 100 wpc, and use the Rolls SX45 crossover along with a sub like the T-Zero, just to relieve the stress on your amplifier. I do not believe this crossover will work with an integrated amp, so you will need separates, DAC, Preamp and amplifier. For $1000, I would not pass these up. They easily surpass my Zu's, and those were roughly $2800 delivered. I could have more or less bought three pairs of the Maggies vs one pair of Zu's. And I am a serious Zu fanboy.

I bought the plans and components for the Neil Blanchard Designs bookshelf speaker. I haven’t built them yet but I’m super excited to do it. FYI it’s about $100 for the plans, $300 or so for the components and then the cost of the wood to build them out.
