Thank you for showing me a quick way to cut the parchment for the bottom of a round cake pan. I was taught to place the pan on top of the paper and using a pencil trace the pan then cut. Your way is a lot simpler! Also, I want to let you know that I made your sponge cake, the one you bake in a water bath. There were two things I did different. One was add a bit more sugar in the cake and meringue (about 1/3 cup) and 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar in the meringue. The cake turned out wonderful. I used the sponge cake to make a lemon crunch cake. I split each cake in half, brushed with a lemon simple syrup and put a thin layer of lemon curd. Between the cakes I put a layer of pastry cream. I made the sweetened whipping cream and covered the cake with it, then sprinkled toffee bits all over. My family was really pleased with the cake. Thanks again for sharing the recipes and tips.

Hello! You don't need to. If you want though, you can spray oil or attach some batter so that it won't move at all but I personally don't do it most of the time simply because I like easy washing for later😁
