I mixed something up when I said he needs a 5% energy planar set to get his ULT on 1st turn. He only needs an energy rope. Regardless, he would still appreciate using Vonwacq over other planar sets. Someone also mentioned that Robin removed Jiaoqiu's technique which is true. Sometimes it's easy to forget how field type techniques don't overlap especially when its a new character.

Really nice showcase. How much EHR did Jiaoqiu have with this set-up? I know its recommended to have 140 optimally, but it didn't really seem to be an issue with Pearls + not having a huge amount of EHR on his sub-stats.

If you spam skill using sp positive supports, the chance of landing a debuff would be affected by enemy count since ur rolling percentage on all 3 characters. So u can almost always get a stack from his skill against choir or any tri-target with pretty low EHR compared to his sp positive reccomendations. Using an sp neutral Jiaoqiu should be the same too

He should be very good for Ratio, just don't expect too much of a damage increase over using Pela. if you're not having issues with SP, Jiaoqiu doesn't need that much speed, just make sure he could take the 1st turn over his teammates by using Vonwacq.

How worth is farming wind set just for Jiaqiou?

Unless your damage dealer benefits a lot from Break Effect, there's not much other sets he could use if built as a support. You can always opt for 2pc Messenger if you want him to be fast and w/o farming Eagle set. However, for 0-cycle setups, an extra turn within the 0-cycle could make or break the run. For Acheron specifically, that extra turn is an extra energy. 157 SPD + Eagle set + Vonwacq = 3 actions within 150 action value of 1st wave aka 0-cycle.

1. Sparkle Jiaoqiu 2. If no sustain, Sparkle Jiaoqiu Silver Wolf since you don't need that many AOE debuffs. 3. You don't necessarily need Preservation with Trend LC anymore with Jiaoqiu. 4. Acheron will still get stacks from Trend LC because her stacks is based on debuff application, not DoT procs.

If you prioritize 0 cycle stuff then 157 speed with eagle set + vonwach is kinda necessary. 160 speed is only important if you can finish the game in 1-2 cycles or less. If you didn't really care about that kind of fast clear then 150 speed with 140 ehr and decent err is good enough.

157 speed + Eagle + Vonwacq is for 0-cycling. 160 speed which is easier to get through Messenger and Kalpagni is more optimized for 0+1 cycle clears. Really up to you how much you want to try hard in this game.

Plus I play my Acheron with 2 Nihilities and a fast Sparkle and I’d prefer it if JQ moves before Sparkle on the second wave of MoC so he can stack debuffs and/or deal toughness damage before Acheron’s turn starts. Vonwaqqc doesn’t apply on second waves.

Jiaoqiu really gives so much energy stacks for Acheron and has much better damage boost for ULTs which is Acheron's main source of damage. You don't really need to compare Pela and Jiaoqiu, if it comes to Acheron's team, nothing can do better than him except for some very specific case with Silver Wolf.

Typically, Jiaoqiu is just a Fire Pela but with Acheron, his battery potential is insane. Any Acheron owners especially those w/o E2 should try and get him.

He is already a massive upgrade from Pela since Pela struggles to keep her ULT up w/o Tutorial LC (if you are using Resolution LC). Which then means Pela sometimes need to get hit or use another skill just to maintain a good uptime for her ULT. Multi-phase bosses are also an issue for Pela sometimes w/o proper planning. You won't have any of these issues with Jiaoqiu. On top of that, he generates energy for Acheron like crazy.

Jiaoqiu is a Fire Pela which means that if the matchup isn't weak to Ice, you could opt for Jiaoqiu instead. Pela's value is both her DEF shred and Ice toughness damage, Jiaoqiu is just the Fire version.

Even though Jiaoqiu's vulnerability boosts the damage of Kafka and Swan, he isn't better than Ruan Mei or Robin for DoT. However, if enemy is not weak to Wind and is weak to Fire, then Kafka with a Jiaoqiu built fully for DoT could be better than the classic Kafka Swan pairing.

hey lisara! i've been conflicted about whether i should pull for jiaoqiu to add to my acheron team. my acheron is e6, and jiaoqiu's ability to add debuffs to new enemies doesn't help my acheron cycle better since her e4 (i think) does that as well. i currently run him with silver wolf, who is also e6. currently an acheron team is the only team she's valuable in, and i'm wondering if jiaoqiu is more valuable than her. what do you think? is he a better slot in than silver wolf? if not, does he get better with eidolons? thanks so much in advance.

The issue with Silver Wolf is usually debuff uptime and SP management. E1 does solve SW's energy issue a bit but she still sometimes have problems against multi-phase bosses. Both problems are non-issue with Jiaoqiu on top of his top notch battery role for Acheron.

What truly did break the game was the actually meaningful damage she gets from coordinated attack, and how many things you can achieve with a full team 100% AV forward. but that is normal since fully leveraging her kit does have nuances to it. Jiaoqiu on the other hand, has all of his "side" utility in the fact that he can battery Acheron really fast and has great upkeep on his debuffs, some toughness damage and he has a fairly weak DoT that can still help build Arcana for Black Swan. All of this which is really not much compared to Robin's extra value, at least for the time being,

Until she gets buffed, then all of a sudden everyone wants her and then Feixiao mains would start trashing on Acheron/BH (BH mainly because people were like ‘Not better than BH’)

@@ilythoris personally I never counts what happened in beta test since it's not really a final kit. I only actually look at her showcase at her v5 since it's already her final kit. Some characters can be a lot better in the final and for some it can be worse so any opinion that happens before the final kit (both praise and trashing) is practically a trash for me. If I remember correctly most trashing stops once she's in v4 (which is basically a lot closer to her final kit) and after that it's just war between which one is the best dps rather than just random trashing. Having fixed team mates is actually worse in the long run unless that character can always be the best at what she actually does (which is nearly impossible for any dps). That's why for me Acheron takes higher priority compared to FF since I could actually try a lot of things with her compared to FF. Won't say FF worse though especially since we already have some end game content that tailored made for her.

It really depends on how much you want Acheron to ULT. He is like a Fire version of Pela but exceptional battery capabilities for Acheron specifically.

Nope, But like how Robin is a BiS support unit for many teams JQ is BiS and will likely be the only support that specifically props up Acheron. So if you're looking to improve your Acheron team at any point he's basically the best there will ever be for her.

We can go with "technically nothing is a must pull", but yeah pretty much he is. Same way Robin is must have for FUAs and RM for Boothill etc

@@Badieon It's a broader topic than what can really be done justice in YT comments. But yeah, the gist is you don't need to pull anyone for anyone. The reason people push against that verbiage is because people who don't spend money don't want to feel like they bricked their account. It's far better to avoid the whole discussion entirely and just speak plainly. Which is why I said "no you don't need him. BUT..." and then explained value. If you want to argue about it the only place Acheron "needs" him is if you're looking at doing pure fiction with her and don't have Kafka and Black Swan. Otherwise there's already other units in the game that serve her just fine and she has no problem clearing any content aside from PF. I disagree that JQ is anything like Robin or RM since they both provide universal/account wide value. JQ does one specific thing for one unit and said unit doesn't need what he gives since she has everything under the sun but defense shred/vuln buffs. And her energy takes care of itself depending on your investment. What JQ offers is nice. But she does not "need" it.

I don’t really see the difference between running him, Kafka with her weapon, or Black swan. Every hit they do adds a stack for Acheron. And yes, she does a bit more damage, but damage was never Acheron’s weakness.

the new upcoming enemies have really high spd, that's the advantage of jq over bs/kafka. the meta are changing (see: how insane counter characters rn)

Acheron's weakness is her stacks and Jiao is basically fixing that by also giving debuff when enemy take turns. Neither Kafka nor Black Swan has this special method of applying debuff. Also enemies now have more spd (which is why Jiao starts to be meta-relevant with Acheron, along with advance forward teams).

... what? She gains stacks on each enemy turn due to JQ ultimate so therefore naturally JQ provides way more stacks than kafka or bs. Then in terms of damage kafka and bs get blown out of the water. It's not true that acheron doesn't suffer from low dmg because if she didn't she would be one shotting every boss with 1 ultimate. JQ especially with his cone provides over 70% vulnerability whereas kafka doesn't give anything and bs gives some measly 20% def shred which requires skill points and needs to be applied to new enemies.

@@FilmFlam-8008 I am a big defender of this team too as I use it myself but JQ is still the goat of stacking mainly due to enemies being pretty fast and he gets the debuff off enemy actions. Nothing stopping you from running all 3 together though. :)

No one said Feixiao comes first. Early access is opened some days before character release, no matter if it's also the same time with version release or not.
