Holy shit, there’s even character nuance with the father. He’s still overbearing and harsh, but there is a layer of consideration for his son even in the midst of their dispute. For the purposes of a rock opera, simpler characters are perfectly suitable, but to write rounded characters like this is a marvelous touch!
