The whole thing can only really be called an ‘experience’. Nobody goes to an Ayreon ‘gig’. It’s a 3 yearly holiday weekend with all your mates you’ve never even met before.

I travelled with my brother and mother from Chile to Tilburg just to see this show (on Saturday and Sunday), and they were the best show we've ever been. I've never seen that many talented people on stage. And I really loved the kindness and respect of the dutch people... but (maybe I'm gonna be hated for saying this) I really really missed the latin audience :c . I wanted to jump, sing and scream, but everyone was so respectful (we latinos express our passion for music in a more explosive way), maybe latin americans will understand what I mean. Anyway, best show ever and huge admiration and gratitude to Arjen and every single people who helped carry out this wonderful show!

Third time in Tilburg and what a blast! Ayreon Universe in 2017 already was an such an epic experience, so much bigger than the Star One show I saw live back in 2002. Then back to Tilburg in 2019 for the Electric Castle, saw two of the shows and again, Ayreon raised the bar even higher. At this point you think there won't be any chance to top that any further? Wrooong! Yet they set up another set of five incredible 01011001shows, which I was lucky enough to be able to attend both matineé show on saturday and sunday with my girlfriend and my 12yo daughter. But with Ayreon and Tilburg it's not just about the shows. The whole vibe that the city has while becoming Ayreonburg for one weekend is so amazing. Happy and friendly people from all over the world across the whole town, walking the streets, sitting in bars, cafés and restaurants, talking in all kind of languages. Special Ayreon menues and of course the origin Ayreon beers. Even the local cinema does it's part and shows those recordings of the past years shows on the big screen. Where else could you expect to experience an Ayreon show in the freakin' cinema and even see Arjen and Joost as shady quiz masters in an Ayreon quiz? Long story short... Thanks to everyone who made this possible and was involved in this very special weekend: the band, the crew, the fans from around the globe and the citizens of Tilburg for welcoming this bunch of Ayreonauts every other couple of years! Wow, you've been to every Tilburg show and the 2002 Star One show, you're one lucky Ayreonaut! I've only see them all via the recorded concert videos. Back in 2007/2008, while working for top metal label in the industry, I communicated with Arjen about coming to the United States to perform an Aryeon/Star One show at ProgPowerUSA, it would be absolutely epic! Alas, at the time he said did not tour anymore, and it was too difficult to bring everyone together to do an Ayreon show over here. Fortunately for all of us, he and Joost figured out how to mount these shows locally. Very thankful that was finally able to pull it off and that the Tilberg shows have become so successful that he's able to keep doing them. Wish I could make it over seas to an Aryeon show in Tilberg one of these days, until then I'll rock out vicariously through the Blurays on my big screen TV...\m/

To nitpick: there are a few moments with obvious video/audio discrepancies (at least in this KZbin version) 4:14 to 4:34 - video slightly out of sync (shots of Jonas, Marcel, the fire) 5:35: Mike's audio is from a different take (the note he holds is longer than on the video) 9:43: Simone teleports from next to Arjen (left side) to the right side (and again shortly afterwards) Otherwise, this was sublime! Great to re-live a truly outstanding show.

I said before, I feel emotional to the tears to remember every single detail of this show, this adventure for me. I bought the tickets few minutes before my dad passed away, when you decided to include a 5th show. I couldn't celebrate my acquisition because my cell phone rang to give me the bad news: my dad was in the hospital and that day his grandchildren were allowed to visit him. That was the last day of my dad: november 24. I kept my tickets to live my mourning. Sometimes life likes to hit us more than once: the pain caused for my dad's death took my grandma's life. She passed away a month and a half after my dad. Two very important persons of my home and life left us in a brief period of time. But in that moment I remembered that we live just once. So, I told my brother that we had to prepare ourselves to travel to Europe to an Ayreon show, because I got the tickets the same day of our dad departure and, as he loved traveling, we must do this journey. And we were there. No matter the bad moments, I feel emotional in a good way. "The meaning of life is to give life meaning." Thank you Arjen for this wonderful experience.

I don't think I've seen this much talent on stage at one time. It's on par when I saw Zappa with the Oakland Ballet and Berkeley Symphony (Kent Nagano conducting) many years ago. And the ego's seemed to be left at the door. Great job everyone. Lucassen is a special person. Sidenote: Both Arjen and Buckethead are 6'7''. I would like to see a Skinny tall Bookend concert with the two of them. :) Once again, great job to all!!!
