We need more hijabi talks this is my favorite thing to watch. I’ve been a hijabi for 2 months and watch your discussions open up my eyes to things I️ would never pay attention to as a non hijabi. Can you guys talk about hijabi shamming?

Also I think for me being a pakistani my dad (parents) are overprotective because I'm the only daughter and I'm their respect in a way if you know what I mean but I appreciate them being like the way they're because it shows they care. Although it can be a bit annoying when my brothers get the benefit of the doubt with everything! XOX 💜

Salam. I love these hijabi talks so much!!! Keep it up . Anyways the question about telling your "potential" husband or wife your past I think is unnecessary as long as it isn't known by anyone else and you've already repented for it. There's no reason to bring it back up again and be judged for it. If allah concealed your sins for you say Alhamdulillah and keep it moving. Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “All of my ummah will be forgiven except those who sin openly. It is a part of sinning openly when a man does something at night, then the following morning when Allaah has concealed his sin, he says, ‘O So and so, I did such and such last night,’ when all night his Lord has concealed him and the next morning he uncovers what Allaah had concealed.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5721; Muslim, 2990).

I love these conversations, they remind of the talks my siblings,friends and I have. I'm not sure, but once you hit a certain level of maturity and growth, you'll stop thinking of what the aunties/moms/dads think of your choices... just continue to irritate them with your standards (even basic things like, "he better have a decent job and not have a criminal history," will irritate some of them and they eventually give up on trying to set you up with bums :P). Simply becoming 18 or graduating college, or even having a full-time job/career won't do it for some of us, but Alhamdulilah we all have our own lives to live out. For the sister who can't/won't hit up a brother she's interested in, HUNTY you is losing out LOL. If he's a mature young MAN, he'll continually respect you for having the guts to do what others sway away from. I went through an extensive courting process with my now husband and I was the one to make that first move. Have a game plan and don't let these basic ass boys waste your time and energy with sweet talk ladies. Get down to the important ish and see if that scares em off :P.

I love these types of videos and always share them with my daughter, but I don’t agree with you guys on hiding your past from a potential future husband. I think it’s best to not hide anything and put everything on the table good or bad and on both sides. Should always be honest, honestly is the best policy as they say.

I don't know how ... Well experienced y'all are to answer questions on marriages... Like I know I can't have a conversation about Muslim marriages and the dynamic because I have zero point of personal reference. So I don't like when people ask me questions on marriage in Islam as I've not personally experienced it.... Does that make sense? But still love all your answers 😘😘😘

you'd be surprised how not talking about certain things like people's childhood and family dynamics actually affect you once you're married. Don't fear having a simple conversation simply because you think it won't affect you or think it's not important, be fearless and talk about everything. Eventually it all comes out anyways. Talking to someone is different than being married and having to live with all their/your baggage.
@sousounad
@sousounad 7 жыл бұрын
Hiking Jabi for sure, I agree with this. If you’re married to someone, you should have an open line of communication with your husband/wife. But we were referring to past (possible) sins committed...once you repent, there really is no need to bring it up (in most cases) but like the original comment said, if it’s something that’ll affect the marriage in the future then I think it should be mentioned.

I used to live in ny. And I had to use the public transportation to get from school back home and I would have to stay out late cuz of after school activities. And my mom would just say to make sure that I tell here where I will be and when I'll be home by. Because you know how women like to gossip. And my neighborhood is very Islamic based. So if some aunt saw me out at night. And talked my my mom about it. My mom would know why I was coming home late and she knew about it. Like where I was and when I was going to be getting home

I actually think its best to tell them about your past, and if he is the type to judge you because of that then you shouldnt marry him. To not tell him is kind of like hiding it, and besides I would want him to tell me if he did something in the past. I think that in some ways our past shapes who we are today, wether it is for the good or for the bad
@tiyyas3022
@tiyyas3022 7 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Trust, those things will eventually come out and affect your relationship; if you were open from the beginning, then your foundation is stronger and things popping up won't put a damper on your marriage inshaaAllah!.
@hanaban29
@hanaban29 7 жыл бұрын
That's why we said it depends on what this "past" is you know? Like if my husband asked me of course I'd be more willing to share. But if I made a mistake in the past and repented, my husband should expect me to expose sins I repented from. If God told us to hide our sins, who is he to expect me to uncover them you know?
@ha.3733
@ha.3733 7 жыл бұрын
hanaban29 but why does it depend on what you did though? Why should a person that you love and intend to stay with for the rest of your life make you feel uncomfortable or insecure bout something that you did in your past, if that isn't who you are anymore? Me personally, if I wanted to talk about some shit that I did in my past I would just say it, I wouldnt wait until I was asked. And I would expect for him to listen and not judge, and if he does judge me or reacts in a certain type of way, im out ✌🏾
@hanaban29
@hanaban29 7 жыл бұрын
the way I see it, the person I was before my partner doesn't concern him (and I say this lightly because i'm not talking about the serious stuff lol). My business is my business. I'll share what I feel is relevant to my relationship and anything else that I left behind in my past he should love and respect me enough to trust the person that I am today. And I'd hope the same on his end. If my partner is pressuring me to tell him "secrets" then ima rethink making him my man in the first place. lol. My whole point is I share what I want to share because I WANT to not because I'm expected to or "should". Much love sis

I disagree, when you said , if someone converts to islam for their partner they are likely to be stronger in the deen.In the short term probably.But as soon as the relationship turns south they'll go part to their old ways.However, if the person converts because of the teachings of the religion, they are more likely to be stronger in the deen.
