Two quick tips - 1. Don't sit on the saddle when offroading. Stand on the footpegs so that you don't load your rear suspension. Stand up and bend your knees a little so that they become part of your suspension. The bike will be a lot more stable, traction will be a whole lot better and you'll have a really low center of gravity....all of which means, more speed, stability and less crashes. 2. When you stand, press the footpegs gently with the balls of your feet to turn the bike. You'll find that you wont have to turn the handlebar as much. Good luck and safe riding!
