Yes, 2012 was the best year in last decade, may be the best in 21st century. Such a great year, from big3 incl. Serena, Masha, Vika, to Aga, Petra, LiNa, Clijters, Kerber produced incredible tennis from beginning of the season to the end. Such a great year, great memories. WTA now is boring

This match never bothered me , because beating Serena in the finals was gonna be difficult. Their final in the AO should’ve been Maria’s , as well as the Wimbledon final against Kvitova

This and the Olympics match against Lisicki are the two most angry Sharapova matches. She is literally up a set and broken for 1-1 and she is already so frustrated. She got into her head in this match. Granted almost no one could beat Vika on a hard court in 2012 or 2013 but Maria let that seep into her head in this match.

This match never really bothered me. She wasn't beating Serena in the final anyway. 2011 Wimbledon final is probably the number one match that I lose sleep over as a Sharapova fan. And 2010 Cincy final vs. Clijsters (I was in the crowd for that one)

Dylan Streibig yes the Cincinnati one in 2010 I will never forgot I remember like it was yesterday. She wouldn’t have beat Serena but would have made it to the final at each major that year even though it was the Olympics at Wimbledon which would have been cool. The Kvitova final was sad but nothing Maria could have done in that match Kvitova was on fire and Maria just wasn’t ready for it.

Sharapova attacked Vika's FH in whole of 2012, she had an opportunity to hit her BH to Vika's Backhand in the match point rally and the previous one at deuce, but instead she still targeted Vika's weak zone... poor Maria, 🤣🤣🤣 she managed to win in Istanbul due to slow court conditions.
