Azelaic Acid is my favorite ingredient of all time!
In this video we review the following:
Azelaic Acid for Hyperpigmentation
Azelaic Acid for Acne
Azelaic Acid for Rosacea
Azelaic Acid for Melasma
Product Recommendations mentioned:
The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%
shop-links.co/1726589365530458507
Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster (1 fl. oz.)
shop-links.co/1726589366828354884
Glytone Enhance Brightening Complex (1 fl. oz.)
shop-links.co/1726589366603994135
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 (1.7 oz.)
shop-links.co/1726589368134629481
Azelaic Acid the Ordinary
Azelaic Acid Paulas choice these are both Azelaic Acid Suspension 10.
Glytone Azelaic Acid also includes a low percentage Glycolic Acid.
If you are looking for a prescription-strength Azelaic Acid 15 % or Azelaic Acid 20 % consider telemedicine. I mentioned Apostrophe.com which is an online telemedicine site.
In the skincare routine, we review using Azelaic Acid and Niacinamide together as well as other actives like Azelaic acid and Vitamin C or Azelaic Acid and Salicyclic Acid.

Video summary: - Produced naturally in the skin - Limits melanin production - Helps for hyperpigmentation, dark spots, acne, skin texture - Is anti-inflammatory - Plays well with other ingredients/actives and is well-tolerated by most people (may tingle initially though) - Is not photo-unstable so can be used in the morning before sunscreen

Love the Paula’s Choice azaleic acid! It has salicylic acid too. I had a pimple that would not go away or mature for months. Once I started using it, the pimple mature and came out to the surface and now is long gone. It helped a lot with my hyperpigmentation although I also attributed the improvement to my hyperpigmentation to arbutin(Ordinary) and vit C (TruthTreatments) that I used.

Azelaic acid is such a wonderful ingredient yet Sephora only sells it in one product: the ordinary azelaic acid suspension. And the ordinary is online only so for me being a beauty advisor helping WOC find products for hyperpigmentation, it makes it very tricky. It’s sad there aren’t more gentle products being geared towards hyperpigmentation in deeper skin tones. Thank you for your incredible knowledge 💖

For those who don’t know how to use ordinary azelaic acid follow these steps: during pm time apply moisturizer first and then after apply the azelaic on top then during am time apply moisturizer again and azaelaic then follow with spf. I recommend this azelaic to everyone who’s suffering from hyperpigmentation and irritation because it have helped my face so much and my face is happy. The side of darks pots it’s not that effective to my opinion, I need something stronger for clearing the remaining dark spots hope this will be helpful to those who are suffering with hyperpigmentation and dark spots too.

This was the best video I have seen on azelaic acid, thank you! I struggle with mild acne, and Winlevi and Alpharet (combo of lactic acid and retinol) all caused little irritation bumps on my skin. I finally decided to super simplify my routine and have been using just a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen to get my skin back to equilibrium. I just got the 15% percent prescription azelaic acid gel, and am excited to start incorporating into my routine slowly. I plan to only use this active the next 3 months to see how it goes! I am a skin care junkie, so the slow and steady wins the race is a hard task lol.

Wow, I just started skincare and bought Azelaic acid because I heard it helps fade sunspots. But it turned out to make my skin so much less oily. Saved my skin.

Love this video! I am interested in trying Apostrophe for my hyperpigmentation. I would love it if you could to a video in tretinoin on sensitive skin and if its safe for POC. Thank you!!
