I like my Kaos 3 so far, tho I am having a leak issue. But I here Luxe’s have leaks also, so I don’t regret my purchase at all. $. Not a bad gun for $165.

We got the KD2 recently. We've had a couple of the original KaosD's for several years now. I will say the KD2 is MUCH smoother shot. The trigger pull on the Kaos 2's line is also much lighter than the old line. Though we have more issues with paint chopping in the KD2 than we did in the KaosD.

What kind of hopper would you recommend for the Kaos? I'm looking to try paintball, though I'll rent from my local field for a few turns first, but I like the Kaos and how they look and good that has been said of them. That and I like the idea of mag fed, but I'll wait a bit on that :P

Mag fed is overrated, less paint and more bulk, plus it's a slower reload than filling a hopper with a load of paint.

I've been playing with a tippmann alpha black for like 5 years, i have an e trigger, cyclone feed, upgraded bolt, and a couple cosmetic upgrades and a few barrels. Would this gun be a viable second gun being as my current gun is SUPER heavy and really long and i'd want something more suited for faster play. Thanks

So I just got this gun and a proto primo hopper and it chops paint like crazy also barrel breaks and the hopper lid won't stay closed every shot it opens. Everything is brand new any ideas?

Thanks for all the awesome vids! As someone who just caught the paintball bug, you put out a ton of great info! I am looking at getting an entry level gun (something very dependable and low maintenance) but something I could grow into over the next year or two. After watching this video, I was turned on to the Azodin mechanical guns and wondered what your thoughts were on the KD 2? I've seen a few amazon reviews saying that is chopped paint and balls popping in the barrel but I don't know how much stock to put in an amazon review. So I figured I would ask someone that seems to know a hell of a lot about the game! Do you have any negatives about the KD2 that you could share? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

paintball ruined my life so this this is the issue i have.. i have around $450 i have a mask already but i do not have a hopper or a tank or a gun should i get a steel tank, mini gs, and a cheep hopper, or get the kaos 2 a good tank and a decent hopper? if i get the mini gs i can only get a cheep 60 tank and 50 hopper.. any suggestions?

My life as MR I think the most important thing is to get a good tank and hopper. You would be set for life, except for rehydro and of course your gun. You can always sell the kaos and upgrade.

VERY similar. They are almost the same gun. I guess you could say the MR100 is a better deal because it comes with the stock though. They are nearly identical though.

For sure, adding a barrel is the only thing you can really do to the Kaos to make it better. I would recommend the Custom Products one piece barrels.

They are very different. I'm not that a big of a fan of the cheaper electronic guns like the Blitz. If you want an electronic gun, you would be better off saving the extra $100 and getting a Proto Rize or an extra $150 and getting an Empire Mini GS.

My buddy just got the Blitz and he loves it. I have an Etha 2 that was $400 and his gun can do a lot of the same things. I personally think the blitz is pretty sweet for the price. Also you can’t beat $150 bucks

It looks like the hopper is in the middle of the gun- are there no iron sights? How are you supposed to aim it?

Well....most people find that sights dont really matter. You kind of just point and shoot, I think of paintball guns like pistols you dont really "aim" you just point and shoot.

You do something called point shooting with a paintball gun unlike a handgun where you line up the front and rear Sights with a paintball gun where you point the barrel is where the balls will go think of it almost like shooting a shotgun without the bead on the front

The gryphon won't need as much maintenance, but it's also mostly plastic and the barrel, feedneck, and asa are not very good compared to the kaos 2

I think it depends on how much you liked it. If you see yourself playing twice a month just got for it! I really like simple stuff for beginners like the Kaos in the video of Tippmanns. But then again if you REALLY like it, it may be worth better something better like the Etha 2 or Proto Rize.

PSY Dojo, I still waiting on my kaos 2, but if I had to choose, I'll choose compressed air as it has so many benefits than co2, plus it's cheaper to refill, just cation it's going to cost more for the tank, but the benefits are worth the extra for the tank, oh he has a video over that topic.

tank size in my head, not very experienced with paintball only played like 5 games, is how you want it to feel, wieght, how it's going to press against your body when aiming and how much the marker going to be away from you due to the length of the tank, oh how much shots you want out of the tank before refilling.

I would just run the Halo Too with the factory settings. I would recommend taking a look at the Custom Products one piece barrels, they are a great deal and for sure better than the stock Azodin barrels.

I used this yesterday at CEPP and I do love the gun its easy to clean like super super easy to clean, but every other ball is was chopping like crazy and flying all over the place. I was shooting straight and then out of no where the ball went upwards like it was being abducted into space and flew right over the net. Im sure I hit someone or someones car. Is there any advice or tips or something to fix this?

If you're breaking paint then you need to use thicker shell paint. The shots curving is caused by paint and oil from the broken paintballs. All you have to do is clean the barrel.

CV EMPIRE depends on you, what your looking for and play, I was between the two as well, I choosed the kaos 2, I choosed it because of the look, the weight, tightness of the body, and I mainly play airball, but mainly because of the look, wieght, I don't have plans for attachments, I don't like bulkiness and wieght, depends on you, what you want in a marker, and what looks more appealing to you, don't choose the gun because what I said unless you have the same reason you have to choose because your the one spending the money and using it, I hope this helps :).

CV EMPIRE hmm hard to say as I don't have experience with neither, but one cool thing I have seen of the kaos is if a paintball broke in the gun the thing that moves back and forth, forgot the name, can be removed easily with no effort at all to pit a cleaning rod through whole barrel and clean, also I have seen a video on taking apart a kaos 2 and it looks really easy don't know about the tippman but I believe it could be close or the same of taking apart.

CV EMPIRE choose what you like not what other people say, because remember your going to be paying for the marker, and your going to be using it, don't hurry yourself, and take your time to choose the right one for your interest, you don't want to buy it, get it and feel like you kinda wished you choose the other one, you want to be fully happy with your purchase.

How do you change the speed ?

You change the velocity through the rear velocity adjuster. On the lower tube at the rear of the gun, there is a screw, you screw that in and the velocity will go up, out and it will go down.
