Very nice series of videos. Northern Arizona is spectacular. I had been to the T bar back about 1975. Wish we knew more about its history. I love the pine forests around there and even further east. Used to camp at Greer. Thanks for sharing.

I live in Chino Valley, and some-what restricted to where I can go. So I enjoyed your travels. Such sticking to roads is to me the only need for a difficult road vehicle. Your use of your jeep was great.

I love this channel! You do such a great job with the narration and video. Beautiful scenery and interesting old structures. I have been to several of these areas over the years, just not as in-depth as you go into them. Love the way you guys are always packing too. Smart. It pays to be prepared. Especially down South. That rooftop tent on the Jeep is way cool! That year of Grand Cherokee is a good one! I would never want to have a newer G.C. and do the things you are doing with yours. Too small and I wouldn't trust it. Yours is a solid rig though. Suscribed!

Good video !! Like the old ranch house and I like the end when you talk about trash . We all need to help pick up trash . So many people litter now . It’s sad .
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, man! This was a fun one for sure. Based on the comments, it seems like a decent number of people also pick up trash they come across. A shame it has to be like that, but at least there are some responsible people out there!

Hey Scotty ... good series. Love the exploring and the photograph. Thanks for posting the .kmz track. Translated it and uploaded it to Garmin Basecamp where I have all of your published trails, as well as, those by others. Like how you managed to stitch together (with transitions) a number of published trails for your trip.

Great travelogue 👍 I have a place south of Tucson. Ive wondered what Stoneman Lake is like. Thank you for the view. When I first drove thru Southern AZ, my dad had talked me into driving on a small dirt road from Sierra Vista to Madera Canyon. It was amazing and we drove it in a colt wagon, no 4x4. There were some steep drop offs but we were fine driving on the small utility road. It would be great if you could find that road drive and make a video. Lastly, when you are on I-19 in Sahuarita AZ, to the East are hills/mtns with a large white vein of rock set in dark rock. The white vein is pretty obvious. Anyway, Ive heard there is a town up toward the top of the white rock and at night I can see lights, but I have never figured out how to get up there. Those 2 driving adventures would please me greatly if I could see them driven by someone on video. Thank you and I hope I get to see those 2 places in the future. 😊

Appreciate you watching! Stoneman Lake is a nice area, especially if you can get away from the crowd. It's been a couple years, but I did the drive between Green Valley and Greaterville/Kentucky Camp and continued southeast from there. Sounds like you may be referring to Helvetia (just east of Sahuarita). Not sure if it is still active or not but I definitely hope to get back down there and explore more. Thanks for sharing!

Great end to this series. I haven't been to Apache Maid, and at 6,300', it looks like a good spot to keep in mind for Fall/Spring exploring/camping and close to the Phx area. Where to on your next series? Pete - KI7LIL
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Pete! It is a great fall spot. I've been up there the past couple Octobers for a weekend meetup with my buddies. Usually a bit chilly but still enjoyable! Once the weather cools off here, I'd like to get back to some desert exploring & camping. I'm also hoping to get back to the Kofa area this winter!
@peterkunka26944 жыл бұрын
@@azoffroad_net Good to hear, I think I can get a day trip in to Apache Maid before winter hits. C'mon winter! lol Desert camping sounds weird to most people but it's really nice when the temps are cool. I've been to KOFA once during a Quartzsite camping trip (nice area). If you haven't been, go a little further west to the Colorado River for camping. Go to Google Maps and search for "Gould Wash" in Arizona. Easy dirt road on the AZ side (Ox Bow Rd, then Levee Rd) or paved road on the CA side, to a nice spot by the water I've camped at before (need 4wd in the wash because of deep sand. The dirt road itself is car driveable).

I started wheeling in a 1995 GMC Yukon. It was great, in its own right, but washboards would literally vibrate the battery cables off of their posts.

Must be something about those older suspension setups. I've had headlights and battery cables come loose before too.

Great series! Looks like you had fun. I still dont know why people camp at the Stoneman overlook. They are not supposed to! I am hoping that the Covid campers stop camping when this passes. I am tired of picking up their trash. These idiots are also dumping their black tanks at their dispersed camping spot.
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! It was a great trip. And I agree with you -- I was surprised to see a huge group camped out there. With as much traffic as there is, I don't know how it's enjoyable. Definitely a shame that so much trash gets left behind! Thanks for picking some of it up. 👍

Spray the air filter of your air pump with little silicone lube. that should help keep you from fuses.
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
Haven't heard of that. I'm going to start with a slightly higher amp fuse and see if that helps.

Hey bro... what do you recommend for day camping on a shoreline with vehicle up north to get out of the heat?
@robertb8802 жыл бұрын
Every time we going 4 wheeling we always have to pick up trail trash from flatlanders. If you can't take your trash home with you then stay out of our Mountains!
