Over the last few years I have started capturing videos on my desert rides. At home I clean them up a little and add some captions to capture the interesting aspects of my ride. I've even uploaded a couple of videos to KZbin for private use. Doing this gives me tremendous respect for the work others do to create these levels of videos, as it makes mine look like child's play. Thank you for capturing your trips and bringing these to us to enjoy. I especially like seeing your videos on trips I have done, and I often learn even more about the routes I have taken and the mines I have visited. Thanks again and great job!

Thanks for commenting, Terry! Glad to hear you enjoy the videos. It can definitely be time-consuming, but I'm glad to be able to share some of my trips. Thank you again for the kind words!

Scotty: NO WONDER YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!! You do LOTS of work on them and it really shows! I have always appreciated the way you include the drone videos with the still pics and the GoPro videos. It really gives the viewer a sense of what the area looks like and where you are going. I have seen others that only use the GoPro and it really leaves out a lot of the details that are in your videos. Please keep up the most excellent work! This series of trip episodes was also excellent and I loved it. Thanks!

Thank you very much, Mark! Appreciate the feedback. I like to use as many different shots as I can to show the best possible perspective (besides being there, of course). Glad you enjoyed this trip & thanks again!

Add this to all the effort made capturing the content and I think you do a great job. Thanks so much from an old overlander who still gets around AZ when he can.

Very informative and helpful video, thank you for the behind the scenes segment. Been following you since my begining 3 years ago. Although there are many other jeep adventure channels, Az Offroad is my favorite

I watched this when it was posted. I wanted to comment but couldn't think of anything intelligent to say. I'm still not sure that I can because what you do for your videos is beyond my comprehension. I am completely amazed at the process that you go through. My first picture was taken with a Box Brownie & this process is light years ahead of that. It makes me appreciate your videos even more. Thank you for the extra effort.

I didnt realize this much work went into all your videos. More than im willing to put into it, however I have taken a few trips to Swansea from Lake Havasu thanks to your videos. Thanks for showing me all the neat places to go around Az.

Thanks, Will! It definitely isn't for everyone, but I do find it enjoyable. Glad to hear you've been able to visit some of the places from past videos. Appreciate you watching!

Your scripting is a great idea. I've never done it, but I see the advantages. I'm more of an 'at the moment' guy, but I think that scripting and voice-over is in my future in a limited way.
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
Scripting definitely has its advantages. I'm kind of the opposite -- I'd much rather have time (and a few takes) to get things sorted out.

Thanks, Arizona Kid! It can definitely be an intense process at times, but the more you do it, the easier it gets. Except for the editor, most of the other software is free to get.

When is the next adventure? Can't wait... Go back to the Springerville/Greer area... Don't see much from any site on Eastern Az..
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Tim. The next video will be up in a few hours! Been taking a short break. Eastern AZ is really nice -- I hope to return eventually... just a bit of a haul from PHX to get to the good spots!

Good video. Appreciate the insight. I agree with having a high number of cuts. It keeps it interesting. What computer and video editing software are you using?
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching this one! My PC is one I custom built a couple years ago (i7 processor, 1060 graphics card, 32 GB of RAM are a few specs). The software I use the most is Pinnacle Studio. I also use DaVinci Resolve (free) and Audacity (also free) for audio editing.

@16:00 why dont you use GAIA and then you can use the web version, screen shot the route and bam youre dont
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
I suppose I could, but I don't think it'd save any time. I would still have to string together multiple screen shots to get ultra-high resolution along the whole route.

What video editor do you use?
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
I've been using Pinnacle Studio for a while. Not the most powerful editor out there but it's what I'm used to. Eventually I might migrate to Adobe.

Which editing software programs are you using? I’m trying to learn Davinci. This does help a lot. I’m wondering if you do similar work for a living.

What programs are you using for video editing and voice overlays?
@azoffroad_net4 жыл бұрын
I use primarily Pinnacle Studio for editing. DaVinci Resolve (free) is great for color grading and can do editing. The audio is done in Audacity (also free)!
