it had been said at blizzcon and even after that it was hinted at that Queen Azshara will be returning but we may not recognize her appearance especially if she doesn't look like a naga anymore i knew players hadn't heard the last of her and she is probably still powerful

Zovaal was a good 1000 levels over Sylvanas, though in a pretty bad position with his chains and lost heart/power. Sylvanas never saw herself as equal to Zovaal, that would be endlessly stupid, but they worked together - well, until he betrayed her goal to free mortals from the tyranny of the Shadowlands and just replace it with his own (or simply kill all mortals, not exactly clear how his victory would have worked out for mortals - but likely just as slaves in the Shadowlands with no life at all). Doens't mean that she served him, since she was sure they had the same goal. That's a massive difference and it's not like she could have done anything without his power. So they indeed helped each other and he seemed to be very willing to keep her as his side, if she would have went along with the change plans. Also something tha all the crybabies tend to forget. Sylvanas could hav laughed her ass of and become the second in line in the new order of the universe as the right hand of a victorious Zovaal. Pretty sure most players would have went with that and just let anyone else pay for it.

funny how you sell everything as new information as it was very obvious that Naga will be back since Azshara left or atleast by the constant amount of naga in this expansion. she sad she will skip oldgods on go to the next level. you even mention it in the Video and what about your wisper Lore..... we KNOW they all have multiple meaning so stop using them for 1 SINGLE event. "dark heart left broken for the taking" can OBVIOUSLY be interpreted as Alleria too. Maybe even anduin if we count his strong PTSD as "dark"

For some reason I imagine Azshara as stronger than Xal'atath. I also don't think she'd serve as a right hand to Xal. Weren't some of her final words "I'm tired of dealing with intermediaries." Xal'atath *is* an intermediary to the Void Lords.

if only she could come back as her elf form & perhaps a redemption arc, I’m getting tired of the naga aesthetic. She would turn so many heads as an expansion lead in her blue skin beauty, maybe as someone we can’t fully trust but she could betray xalatath or the void too and side with us idk.. id just rather see a rebuilt highborne society or the heroes help lead them from their aquatic life back to civilization and perhaps back to arcane mastery.. who needs kirin tor when you could have the highborne & other elves creating a magic metropolis of their own.

She already got some 'redemption' by playing a vital role in stopping N'Zoth (what includes Xal by the way, without her N'Zoth would have been unbeatable, even with the Azeroth planet laser), but that too was more about letting the rabble do the work so she can do her queen plans.

Sorry, but you people don't see a problem with this type of writing? ? Azshara was taken by N'Zoth. In this expansion we find out that Xal'atath is working directly for a Void Lord and that the Old Gods are somewhat against her or they have other plans than her and Void Lords, so if we've seen N'Zoth took her, how can she return as Xal'atath right hand? How can this be a good story telling?

Another question to add on to this is. How could the Naga know back before the start of DF stating in the Songs of the Depths book, that the Dark Heart Artifact would be broken?? Could they have been speaking about a different "Dark Heart"?

@@tobias1438 possibly, but this the thing about songs of the depths. The Naga was speaking about what was told to them by Xal'atath maybe directly or indirectly threw the queen. But in the last few lines it says. The Harbinger speaks of a primal power that seeks the end of Order. Such rage can be bent to serve our ends. A hunger lost to the ages will be reclaimed. A dark heart left broken awaits the taking. These are things that Xal'atath was out to accomplish. The Artifact she had that was broken by Alleria was already "Taken" by her. So again what other "Dark Heart" could her, and many others have spoken of?
