Maybe because, though the original "native" race were the Trolls and were the ones fighting tooth and nail against the Black Kingdom, they were too savage (chaotic) whereas when they evolved under Azeroth's essence influence, they turned too "up-tight" (lawful) and looked to the moon instead to the planet. Elves and Trolls are both on the extremes, and worse, the elves worship more Elune than Azeroth so, if Azeroth picked a race that was an in between trapped in the middle of both sides, Troll and Elf, the Haranir are like the balance of both worlds, the chaotic primal extreme and the lawful ordered extreme. Else, maybe the Haranir was an offshot of the Dark Trolls that went "too deep" and communed with Azeroth directly, paying more attention to her than any other old race (Trolls with their Loa and Elves with Elune this Elune that and their own version of Loa). I believe the Tauren were more close to the "Earth Mother" than anyone else, but sadly they meant more the elemental one rather than Azeroth herself. idk I'm just tossing around ideas. (also I'll keep calling them the Na'vi of Azeroth 😅) (the quills makes me think that maybe they are the evolved result of the Quillboar like when Troll >> Elf, BUT, I hope it's not (?))

Hopefully Haranir will be a playable race. Right now i just want blizzard to fix dracthyr transmog and just allow visage form to be a chosen combat form. It can be like Demon Hunter changing between forms.

To my understanding, Drakthyr can remain in Visage form in combat if they are any of the oldschool Classes. Only Evoker pops out and that makes sense because Evoker is specifically tied to being Drakthyr.

If Harranir were featured in the war within, what about the Arathi humans as an allied race also? Ofcourse they would have to find a way to make them different enough from regular humans and Kul Tiran humans, (besides the pointy ears)? Wasn’t there an Arathi character featured in the cinematic trailer as well? I mean we saw the earthen featured in it, that’s why I feel like maybe they will add Arathi and Harranir as next allied race, considering earthen are an allied race, and in the burning crusade cinematic they showed Draenei and blood elves as new races.

Have you SEEN the dracthyr ? The horde and alliance should’ve raided their vault and killed them all idk why they’re an allied race. The player champs killed deathwing and the dracthyr were just one of his tiny experiments. Makes them seem kinda lame and out of place as a playable race. Haronir make a lot more sense, it’s a combination of two already existing races.

I want to save the barber shop looks like transmog. I hate finding a new appearance to go with a different dracthyr armor or stylish holiday look, then spend time recreating my normal look. I'm cray-cray about matching my visage transmog close to my dracthyr armor color, and i like to change often. This would make it easier to do that. It's not game breaking, just quality of life. Im not complaining 😊 about a new race that may be lore aligned with Druids. For far too long, Druids have been lore-locked with their connection to the forest to play their dream races (vulpera!) While shaman, equally element and land lore base had many more and overlapping choices. I love horde, but my barefoot troll (as badass as she looks), or weird neck Tauren aren't the most esthetically pleasing. Don't get me started on the Zandalari 😢 (just eww). I want more races for Druids, and I'm not ashamed to openly advocate for that. Everyone can be warlocks now. Tauren and Dranai can be rogues? Who are you sneaking up on with cloppy hooves? Finding a hard of hearing toon to sneak up on? Get a farier and shoe that beast. Bring on the new race. Open up a playable race for Horde Druids that can actually wear foot armor if they want. I'm here for it.
