Nice videos. Just a comment on the photo-collage at 7:45 of the guy. His name is Gabe Zimmerman. He was shot and killed during the assassination attempt of U. S. Representative Gabby Giffords in Tucson in 2011. He was part of her staff. Gabe was an avid hiker and cyclists who frequented the area around Davidson Canyon. This trailhead was named in his memory.

Thank you for providing this playlist and these videos. As someone who is preparing to start backpacking and wants to hike the AZT someday, this is extremely helpful to me, you have no idea. I live in Tucson and have explored/hiked these surrounding areas my entire life including small parts of the Arizona trail near my favorite spots, and that being said I still haven't seen enough to know exactly what to expect all the time. When someone films their activities this way, it visually prepares me in ways that reading and looking at maps can never do. Seeing the name of a trail and then seeing what the area around that trail, the condition of the trail, landmarks, etc. look like, is so helpful compared to only seeing the trails on a map and guessing what's in the 2D satellite images. Thank you so much for this.

My old stomping grounds! I was not a hiker when I lived in AZ, but I was into mountain biking so that got me out in the desert. To this day one of my most memorable rides was riding some fast singletrack east of town while watching thunderstorms build up right there over the Rincons. It's really neat to watch an early monsoon season storm build from 10kft to 65kft in less than an hour... Then the storm started to dump on the mountain and sent a huge gust front my way. Luckily I was quite familiar with the weather patterns and timing of it all, so I made it back to the trailhead before the storm rolled off the mountain and flooded all the washes. Then I got hailed on in the car on the way back. Yes hail in southern Arizona.. Thanks for the quick stroll down memory lane :-)

The footage from your new camera looks great! Most of the trail logging has you in perfect focus, color and WB, while the background landscape looked out of focus, which I believe was the result you were looking for. Mixing that with the stationary footage made for my fav video of the month. I watched it twice. It looked amazing on my 50" 4K TV even though its 1K on KZbin. Thank you and happy trails! - LightWalker

My second favorite spot in AZ! We spent this past Christmas to New Year's in AZ, mostly around Cienga Creek Preserve. There's some really cool small canyons/washes alongside the trail between the preserve and Saguaro NP that were fun to explore. I think my heart will always belong to the Superstitions though.

the distance seems to be a decent bit shorter than the PCT days. Is that just due to the more difficult/steep terrain or would this be your average days hike? The high 20s to low 40mile days you done on the PCT made the trail terrain look ideal for trekking.

Good times on the trail! - thank you for sharing. Question: which GNOC bag are you using? I'd be a little hesitant to pop one on the top of my pack - as I'd be worried about the slider moving and getting a waterfall through everything. Do you have a "clip" or something to keep it safe? The snake tunnel was pretty cool for sure. I was expecting to hear that there were snakes inside of it escaping the heat.
