Yes bro that's what I've been saying, it's really good for double slug but I would recommend double fusion if you keep blowing urself up. Riptide/chillclip w/ the one solar 15 round overflow solar fusion w/ dragons breath, make sure to run ember of ashes with the solar helmet that buffs scorch stacks and you have some really good damage.

Best way to use dragons breath in a dps situation is by shooting 1 x5, switching to a auto loading fusion or sniper, unloading on the boss until dragons breath autoloads(witch should only be a couple of seconds with rhe ignitions) switch back, and repeat. Dragons breath only autoloads at x5 fuel, meaning once you get it started, itll be at max damage with every shot

You can speed it up with abilities but yeah there will be some downtime unless the catalyst also increases the amount you gain from each ignition . (wow if this thing auto loaded every ignition hunter is the most insane way to abuse this rocket) With the new supremacy buff it should be pretty nice for this kind of rotation .

There aren’t many but you absolutely wouldn’t use double pellet. Example harpy boss on GOS and spire speeds. Gonna use double slugs. Templar if I decide shotty im gonna double slug. Their crit doesn’t move much makes it easier.

While yes there is a range for the spread with luna rift (which if you are doing team shotty dps you will have) you can comfortably do double pellet rocket. Slugs are only mildly competitive if you are at a weird range where you are not far away enough to justify izi gl but not close enough for pellet (for regular rockets anyways) with how rocket heavy a regular rocket dps rotation is, izi gl out dpses double slug. for dragon's breath specifically is hard to say because there hasn't been too much testing done yet but double pellet does in fact do more damage than double slug. Edit : and about your examples, harpy is about burst dmg the strat is to izi gl rocket with rdm not use d breath, you don't use d breath for something like harpy boss. Templar is effectively a burst dps boss as well due to his low hp pool so once again you end up using rocket spam rather than d breath or using your secondary weapons much.

Scorch is reset after ignition. That means you lose put on the total damage from the DOT effect of scorch. As a general note, you can buff scorch via weapon buffs, so radiant. Scorch deals more total damage the higher the scorch stacks because more stacks equals longer damage ticks.

I feel like the best way to use it this season will be to lean into the auto-loading and combine it with something like Cartesian. Use the Artifact perk to add scorch to Solar weapons while Radiant and only switch from Cartesian to Breath after you see two ignitions go off because it should reload itself after that. Or maybe Acacia's or one one of the Snipers? No idea how they do on dps these days, but something that does precision damage could proc the artifact perk that gives you Radiant so you wouldn't have to worry about that running out.

With how Solar heavy the artifact is you're shooting yourself in the foot for not using a solar primary. However, we got a saviour. The Strand fusion this season is a rapid fire that rolls Overflow/Controlled Burst. That's an insta pair along with whatever solar incandescent primary floats your boat.

Hear me out here. Drop Well to get radiant and use the new seasonal fusion with slice to sever along the seasonal mod that increases weapon damage to enemies effected by strand/stasis debuffs. Shoot rocket switch to fusion for sever and by the time you switch back to dragons breath it reloaded itself Note: I’d imagine that using multiple DB could possibly make the ignitions cancel each other out. Just like having multiple Two Tailed Fox or two hunters both running Gathering Storm where the Jolts cancel each other out.

Also IIRC there's effctively a version of prismatic lens in the artifact this season, so using a chill clip rocket with wolfpacks is even more important. This alongside the supers granting you stacking damage will just give absurd dps this season, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a bunch of new WRs.

I miss Destiny. I hate the seasons and havent been able to play them for years. I always come back for the expansion and have a blast with all the seasonal stuff I missed. It just sucks there are tons of awesome armor and weapons I miss out on and can't ever get now. I wanna come back and play but I know I'll be bored in less than an hour. Really wish they'd just release the whole season instead of nickel and diming us. I always get on and look at all the battle pass armor I'm gonna miss out on. @makingacomment I ran chill clip auto-loading Riptide for the damage buff from Torch, enhanced Unrelenting/ Incandescent mini-tool, and DB with Pyrogales. Literally everything is always on fire and I'm basically always healing between sunspots and enhanced unrelenting. I'm almost always playing Hunter but I might be maining Titan this season.

Wardcliff Coil should have a weird version of Rewind Rounds and Target Lock. So long as most of your rockets land, it'll automatically load up your next volley which will do more damage than the previous volley.

You shoot it, if 90% of the volley hits the target, the weapon auto-reloads *and* auto-fires the next volley with both increased damage and increased recoil. Repeat this process in an escalating manner until you either run out of ammo, or miss part of a volley. This would turn it into the best burst dps heavy weapon if all reserves are shot on one burst, but the absurdly ridiculous recoil would make it hard to get the perfect burst off, especially on smaller or thinner bosses, making it specialized for bigger bosses.

@@jackd6269because Cross is using DB wrong, as did Fallout in his testing video. Popping off shots constantly is *not* the way to maximize damage with DB, but rather as a hotswapping exotic like Anarchy

Bungie gave us a spoonful of content from Final Shape this season and I’m LOVING IT. The new sidearm frame is overpowered, dragons breath is dragons breath, and the story so far is baller

I like the weapon, but the projectiles are slow and I never know how many propellant stacks I have because the counter on the left is usually hidden. I wish the vents on the side lit up in order instead of just the barrel of the gun getting slightly more orange

You need Ember of Char on, the scorch from the ignitions combines with the scorch present and gives you another ignition to reload the rocket at x5 quite quickly

I believe this rl is insane because you could pair with a snip or any other dps weapons. You could do double swap or even triple swap with a much higher total damage compared to the anarchy, remember you could use ability to boost the ignition. When the catalyst is equipped, the 5times will be much easier to achieve. I tried supremacy to pair with this bad boy. 2300000 is a really easy dmg number to get. The only problem that will affect this gun is the distance that you could count ignition to fuel. If the fire on the floor could stack with your teammate, you could ignore the ignition dmg that took away from your teammate. In the dmg phase of a raid, the things you need to think about is how to get a higher dps. If the fire is stacked, you could get a faster ignition and more ignition that will auto reload the rl. The thing is you need to find the right dmg weapon in other slot to fit in this time window.

One thing to remember is that it clears the whole battlefield too. So any boss phase with adds it will be insanely good. It not only will put in solid dps but will clear the adds all while allowing you to use cover a lot more frequently given the fact it is a damage over time weapon. So using it in a fight like Birthplace of the Viles will be cracked as the adds will all get ignited as well, killing them much more safely and boosting dps further.
