As a huge fan of Lou who lives in the frozen tundra of North Texas let me echo others in the Comments by saying how much I look forward to a new video each Friday. Especially this past week. Fantastic work!!

This is the first time (that I can recall anyway) that I can genuinely hear the exhaustion in your voice from building a model. Quite frankly, I don't know how you endured it. I would have never had the patience to deal with something like that. I find I'm getting less patient with these kinds of things as I get older unfortunately. Excellent job as always though. Hopefully your next build will be more for fun and less stressful.

after the many long weeks of work the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701E) looks amazing. really held my breath when the saucer wouldn't line up but the way you dealt with the issue was very calm considering how much work u put in. she looks wonderful with all the lights & decals. thank you for taking us along for the journey.

Wow Lou. You've put three and a half months of your life into that model! The result is amazing - particularly considering the "less than perfect" product you had to work with. You have had to use all your tricks and experience to wrestle this ship into the final product. You deserve a rest so please pick a nice simple kit for your next project - a professional styrene kit with minimal construction and lots of painting which you enjoy. I would like to say it's been fun following you on this marathon but to be honest at times it's been like watching a circus high wire act - enjoying the skill but praying that it doesn't end in disaster! Keep safe and protected (Covid is a bitch, believe me!) and as always looking forward to next week's thrilling installment 👍

A fascinating dog-leg path to a remarkable model. I apply this descriptor to you a lot, Lou-- but this is surely "bravura" modeling. The end results are a spectacle. Interestingly, you called out the forward lights as being too bright. How about dabbing on a dot of Tamiya clear "smoke?" Or even airbrush some clear "smoke" on the blue engine reading lights? Just a thought-- you know me; always lookin' out for my buddies! What's next!!!???

Hi Lou, Do you ever try X20A on your decals, a lot of us here in GB do this all the time with very good results, it really helps to bed the decals in and gives a very flat finish and helps to show the underlying details

Always bothers me that the E's impulse engines fire straight into the bussard collectors.
@magicstix0r3 жыл бұрын
I mean, it was built by an organization that's never heard of a fuse and packs their ship walls with rocks to explode and kill crew members randomly, so...
@MrChief1013 жыл бұрын
Good point, Magic-- but one might assume that anything's coming out of those impulse grills. "Inertialess" drive implies no mass... On the other hand, all that light spill seems inefficient too. And... a very nice targeting option for any attacker!
@aztekdummy3 жыл бұрын
Well, if there is anything being "exhausted", the collectors are right there to recycle it 😁🖖
@spinaweasel3 жыл бұрын
@@aztekdummy Right! But who would have thought that Yoyodyne, being a 1980s California based company, would have been so forward (or do I mean "aft") thinking?
@magicstix0r3 жыл бұрын
@@MrChief101 only the warp drive is inertialess. Impulse engines are essentially basic rockets, hence the name 'impulse'

It's a wonderful model. Why not rechargeable batteries and wifi control though? It would have simplified the stand.
@aztekdummy3 жыл бұрын
too complicated. I'd rather trust contact switches and direct wiring. I'd rather not introduce more things that could go wrong. Besides, that was the stand from the original 14 year old build
