Prayers for you Sarah and Dean. Praying your surgery goes well and the Dr will get you fixed. I’m from north central West Virginia. I hope your winter is mild and easy for you both.

So sorry your back has been hurting...I, too, had surgery 8 years ago and it definitely gives me trouble at times. Gardening can be rough on it for sure! Great haul...I did mine last month...all set for winter now. Feels good, doesn't it?

@@jenniferkingsbury8229 I love knowing that I am prepared for come what may! So glad you enjoy Azure as well. Would love to know some of your favorite items that you stock.

@@ruggedmountainhomestead I think number one would be their honey. Then all your pantry staples...flour, sugar, oats, cornmeal, cocoa powder, powdered milk, salt, spices, etc. I haven't managed to grow enough potatoes, carrots, or onions for the year yet so I fill in with Azure. So good at a good price. I also get frozen green beans, corn, and mixed veggies which I then can. I also get raspberries and blackberries to turn into jam. And lastly, I LOVE buying the organic cheeses in bulk. I shred them up and freeze them and it's good, quality cheese with no weird chemicals. I try to get it all in one order once a year as the drop is pretty far away from me. Love watching Azure hauls! Thanks :)

What does the sunflower oil taste like? Is there a big difference in cooking with it vs olive oil? How do you can your dry beans, what’s the process?
@ruggedmountainhomestead2 күн бұрын
@@juliefultz6715 the sunflower oil is actually very light. I haven’t noticed a bit of difference other than the olive oil having a more bold flavor. The sunflower oil has a high smoke point so you can use it for basically everything. My process how I can dry beans is not by the Ball book, which is why I haven’t done a video, but has never failed me. Super easy - 1/2 c dry beans per pint jar, 1/2 t. salt and fill jar with water to one inch headspace. Bring canner and jars to temperature at the same time. 75 minutes for pints at the pressure for your elevation.
