Back when I met my husband, we had been chatting about generic stuff, you know the first few dates chatter about nothing too deep. When we got around to a mention of theme parks, we quickly discovered we both loved them, then... exactly 1 week (Saturday theme park - following Saturday we met) before we met, we had both been in the same theme park... we both checked our wallet/purse and there to prove it was true, we both had our ticket stubs from 7days earlier! Then we found out that we both loved the same UK seaside resort (we later got married there) then realising that the year before we had gone to the same park just 1 week apart. I’d been there for a week and was utterly miserable (with my college bf/very soon to be ex) the day we left - he had arrived with his friends. So we were again in the same place for the entire day. A good while into our relationship we passed a hotel in my town and he said “you know I said I’d never been here (my town) before, it’s weird but I know that hotel, I recognise it”. I laughed and said “I used to work there through college”. After some digging, we found that he HAD been there, on a work trip they’d visited a conference at my hotel. I checked the dates with my payslips and found that I had worked that week as college was on a break. There is a VERY good chance that I served him dinner. So over 4 years we were in the same place, same time, then year 5 We meet. We kinda half joke that fate was trying very hard to get us together.

It’s because you can actually check the inside of an egg using a strong light, so some egg packaging plants pick them out and package them in separate cartons, usually for restaurants, but sometimes these cartons make it into general circulation. There’s a rather famous case where a supermarket offered a ridiculous prize for any customer that had 6 eggs in a carton with double yolks, not knowing about these packaging tactics. They got royally screwed. ;)
