Of all the outdoor gear I own, my Wiggy's sleeping bags are by far my favorite. I have one jacket also, love it. Just napped in my 20 degF bag, it is just so damned cozy. Had this equipment 5 years now, incredibly tough, I have yet to see anything that compares.

A civilian version of this with a different color scheme and higher temp rating would be great for emergencies. I can see it being packed into a daypack for hikers that get lost or injured. It can also serve those traveling in their vehicles or airplanes through very cold climates and don't expect to be stranded. You guys have come up with an ingenious multi-use sleep shelter!

As a 20 yr Air Force Military law enforcement/ dog handler I was issued a couple of your bags, on retirement I was allowed to keep one... Honestly love them. they are great. Being a Colorado resident now, and living out aways from town, would love to see something as a car survival kit similar to the B-52 kit.

Makes sense to me. I have had my gear in use at ambient temps as much as 30°F lower than the given ratings. Admittedly, Wiggy's customers have been considered a "cult" in some circles of outdoor gear manufacturers, so be it. I am proudly a member of a "cult" that respects, admires, and purchases products from a manufacturer that produces products that perform better than the manufacturers recommended environment.

years ago a friend who did millions with ll bean asked them to look at my bags. they new all about me and told him I was a "cult" 20 years ago. well I think being the largest producer of sleeping bags in the world that sell for $100.00 each or more means I am the largest "cult" in the outdoor business in the world. I PROUDLY accept the distinction.Doug thank you for your kind comments.

Sorry to hear about your condition. I hope you feel better. I tried not criticize the Department of Defense too much on the fire test video because up until 1 December I was a Master Sergeant in a Security Forces Squadron in the USAF. Now that I’m retired I will foot stomp what I stated before and say that it is incomprehensible that big Army and Marines won’t adopt Wiggys as the Standard issue for over boots, mittens, cold weather hats, level 7 parkas and trouser, lamilite socks and most importantly....SLEEP SYSTEMS! First time I ever saw a Wiggys Bag was in our supply room. It was locally purchased years ago. It was compressed for at least a decade. I took it out of its compression bags and they sprung back to life. I find it mind boggling that the military can’t figure out what to do about cold weather boots. In my opinion the combination of lamilite socks, a breathable boot and the over boots is the ultimate combo for military troops who may be on the move then static or mounting vehicles. The combo allows for the user to wear or take off as needed. I am glad to see that the Air Force is smart enough to use Wiggys in pilots survival gear. The AF is usually a little smarter. What does that tell you though, the AF spends hundreds of millions on the best aircraft and on the pilot. They choose Wiggys gear! I’m hoping my wife bought me some more Wiggys cold weather gear for Christmas. It would be awesome if you made an exact copy of the level 7 parka/trousers in lamilite. Merry Christmas!

Boy, I'm very sorry to hear about your shingles. A friend of mine from church had that as well, and he said the same thing, a very painful experience that made him feel like Job. I wish I had this set up about 30 years ago when I worked for the National Science Foundation and I spent 367 long cold days at the South Pole in Antarctica. When we went to Christchurch NZ, we went to CDC = Clothing Distribution Center, and we were issued three HUGE bags of survival gear, and most of it was worthless. You should contact them and let them try some of this out. It's summer there now, but soon the last flight out will be in Feb and then you're stuck until windfly in Aug at McMurdo, but real flights don't start until Sept or Oct. Everyone gets survival gear and not just one set, it depends on your job, but some of us were issued two sets since we were outside more and harder on gear. At McMurdo alone, they had 1,100 people there for the summer, but less than a 100 for the winter, and at the pole it's less. I was there with just 21 people for the winter, but we did go through some gear and almost all of it is brand new every time. The other thing is, they're a repeat customer big time because gear is used and used hard and turned in and basically worthless. I know I had to DX one of my parkas before winter because working outside everyday, it took a beating and I couldn't be with just one parka and no spare and going into winter and there are NO flights ever for months. I still remember that last LC-130 with it's tail gate down and them saying this is it, anyone who wants to leave, this is your last chance for at least 7 months. Anyway, I know back then, they had a budget of $141 million, and that was 30 years ago. I still remember watching the Paul Buck tanker coming in to McMurdo and filling the fuel tanks on the hill and it was something like 1.5 million gallons of fuel they unloaded after the ice breaks made a path for it. It took them several days to pump all that fuel and you could see the tanker coming out of the water each day. I'm not sure where their headquarters is now, but it was the Antarctic Support Associates out of Englewood Co. Keep up the great work.

@@wiggys Thank you for your non fluff technical gear, and for the great videos. I have a question for you in regards to the B 52 suit, do you have access to anti flir fabrics? and have access to RF shielding fabrics? If so can they be incorporated into all the garments in in this kit? And if so how much would it cost? As we are now in the 21st century all foreign and domestic military's use drones, robots, and the 5G weapon systems, which can detect heat signatures, and the like, having these 2 elements incorporated into this suit would allow us to avoid detection from enemies, and keep us safe from this new level of evil. Thank you and have a great day, Merry Christmas 2019, MAGA, God Bless, Banned.Video

I used to fly B-52s. I'm looking into buying fishnet long John's because I sweat too much too often in the warm climate I live in, in Southern California. I want to try wearing fishnet long John's under sweatshirts or long sleeve t-shirts damp marine layer weather and hot California weather. I also flew B-1s when I was very young. It soundds like they're trying to kill people ODing them on synthetic Petroleum base fibers. I hope your fishnet long John's are 100% cotton.
@wiggys
@wiggys 10 ай бұрын
he reason my fishnets work so well is because they are made from nylon yarns. you will find out very quickly how well they perform because they are nylon. what ever you wear over them will get wet but you will not. they are not issued to air force who are issued nomex [nylon] long underwear because it does not burn.

@wiggys I'm guessing Nylon is the way to go or everyone would be a hippie wearing 100% cotton or something like that. I'm guessing they are really nice is what trying to explain. I'm going to try buy them at a time soon rather then later.

Outstanding! That poncho might actually be what I really want! A while back I emailed you about a regular hooded poncho with a zipper but the poncho from the Survival Kit might be more practical yet! How far down does it compress? Thanks for all you do, Jerry! To date I have 7 or 8 of your bags (although I gave one to my brother), some mittens, the Mukluks, the Pac Boots, a Balaclava and some stuff I'm probably forgetting. All of it has been great! Excellent video Jerry. That kit is very thorough. I have several of your products, mainly your super light bag system, I would not change any of them for any other. One question, I have one of your insulated ponchos, does it have the same level of insulation as the B-52 poncho (L6?) and what would you consider the temperature rating for it? Thanks Nate

none of the ponchos have the L-6 Lamilite only L-3. As for temperature ratings for ponchos warm weather.
