Rustad has said a tonne? I've personally warched about 4 hours of his sit-down interviews. He's well-spoken and rational.

BC Conservatives have my vote. I’m sick of the junkies, drug dens, free heroin, tent cities, gender indoctrination, carbon taxes, and deficits.
@davidriedel5282Ай бұрын
Gender indoctrination: you're hilarious! Put your tin foil hat on. Show me one example where that happened. Do you think conservative-led provinces are doing better addressing addiction or tent cities? As the pollster stated, the more Rustad talks, the lower his approval ratings go. As Kevin Falcon said recently, Rustad is totally unfit to be premier of this province. I hope Rustad keeps talking. He'll make a good opposition leader for the next four years. (Actually, that's not true; Rustad is not even competent enough for to be leader of the opposition.)

The price of housing drop allows the federal government to claim a drop across the board. My groceries keep going up. Fall has just started.
@davidriedel5282Ай бұрын
News flash: prices generally keep going up. It's been happening for hundreds of years, and will continue hundreds of years after we're both dead. Inflation was much worse from 1974 to 1990, though. Wages and salaries keep going up too. Maybe you'd like to go back to 1960 and have an annual salary of $4,000/year.
@ianleslie6971Ай бұрын
@davidriedel5282 you are kidding yourself if you think quadrupling the national debt and tripling the price of housing in 9 years is normal . But you are right, I'll be dead and gone before any government can get this near normal
@davidriedel5282Ай бұрын
@@ianleslie6971 You're the one kidding yourself: the Conservative solution to everything is let the market decide, which will mean tripling the price of housing in far less than 9 years. Also, Canada's debt-to-GDP ratio is very low. You missed my point: prices have increased for hundreds of years, and will continue to for hundreds, no thousands of years everywhere.
@ianleslie6971Ай бұрын
@davidriedel5282 there was a some what valid reason for some of the inflation from 74 to 90 . But terrible management by Pierre Trudeau did exacerbate the problem. .But he carried the same thinking. Just print money the economy will take care of itself. By no means except Freelands logic, do we meet a rational debt to GDP ratio , if you want to rate Canada look at our standing in the OECD
@davidriedel5282Ай бұрын
@@ianleslie6971 You're so predictable: I knew you were going to say that. Inflation was a WORLD-WIDE PROBLEM from 1974 to 1990. If Pierre Trudeau had never been born, it would have been just as bad; Pierre Trudeau's policies had virtually no effect on raising the inflation rate. Likewise today. Such simple-minded nonsense... Also notice that, except for the cost of housing, the affordability crisis is already ancient history. Factoring in inflation, the price of gasoline is more than 25% lower than it was 2.5 years ago, so fuel prices have had a massive deflationary effect during that time. Much of the OECD, like the Nordic countries, have far higher taxation rates than Canada, and therefore far less of the social and economic problems that our backwards nation has.
