English Translation I've grown accustomed to being alone now That's how I keep having the same dream I've found some things that are reasonably enjoyable Pretentious words hang in the air A narrow road overlooking the sea A downhill slope with no one around White breath melting in the snow I still hear a voice calling me That's how you wander alone on thin ice again And I still can't keep you from going I loved you, you know? Your gentle voice, your face Even your fingertips I loved you, but you don't know, do you? The depths of our heart They're cold The feelings I want to protect slip through the gaps in my fingers Little by little, they spill away Even though I finally realized their importance That fragile glass shatters The cherry blossoms bloom and fall The cicadas' voices fade away too That flower that blooms in the night It shines like a star and melts away When we look back, memories of the past They all turn into pain Because I wish to hold onto them The wounds never heal I loved you, you know? Your gentle voice, your face Even your fingertips I loved you, but you don't know, do you? The depths of our heart They're cold People always make mistakes People say they're moving forward like that Even if I change my hair color My heart is still dyed with you That's how I wander alone on thin ice again And I still can't forget you I loved you, you know? Your gentle voice, your face Even your fingertips I loved you, but you don't know, do you? The depths of our heart They remain unseen

regulusさん, I have been subscribed to you for many years, and am very fond of your music. I have also translated many of your songs into English on the Vocaloid Lyrics Wiki, and had many other translations by you that I was working on, because I want more people to understand your lyrics and hear your music, and have shared your songs with many friends. However, as @Serza5 says in a reply below where you explain your opinion of AI, AI art is not really "AI" or "art". It is an algorithm based on art that is stolen from other artists without their consent. Anyone who claims to "create" AI art is not a creator - they are benefiting from theft. Would you like it if others put all of your songs into an algorithm without paying you, generated a mashup of your music, and then claimed it was original music, and sold that algorithm to people as "AI" to monetarily benefit themselves? Because that's what it is. I cannot stop you from using "AI art", but I can and will certainly stop supporting you, or translating any of your work. I will miss listening to your music, so I can only hope that you will have the good sense to change your mind.

To be frank, I did not anticipate receiving such strong criticism for using AI-generated illustrations in my music videos. I understand the meaning behind your statements. However, I'm still unsure whether it is the right decision to overturn my policy just to avoid displeasing some fans, including you, without truly being convinced. The advent of a new era driven by AI is a fact. Humans need to confront this seriously. Legislation, including copyright laws, in various countries has not been fully established. I comprehend your frustration, but at the same time, I believe we should embrace a broader set of values and thoroughly consider the arguments from those who stand on the opposing side. What you referred to as "algorithm" is precisely what every human creator does. Learning from others' works, imitating techniques, borrowing ideas, and creating one's own pieces based on these elements-that is the essence of the "algorithm." AI accomplishes this instantly, while humans take years to do it slowly. I believe that the acceleration of the creative process by AI doesn't diminish the value of human creativity. Rather, it challenges us to rethink our approaches and find new ways to express ourselves in this evolving landscape. I acknowledge your concerns about the lack of consent and the potential misuse of AI-generated content. It's true that the current legal frameworks are not fully equipped to handle the complexities of this technological shift. As creators, we should actively participate in shaping these discussions and contribute to the establishment of ethical guidelines. While I empathize with your discontent, I also see an opportunity for dialogue and understanding. Exploring the intersection of AI and human creativity opens up avenues for collaboration and innovation. By navigating this change with open minds and a willingness to adapt, we may discover unique possibilities that enrich both AI and human-created art. In conclusion, the challenges posed by AI in the creative realm are substantial, but they also present opportunities for growth and collaboration. It's essential for us to engage in constructive conversations, foster understanding, and collectively navigate this transformative period in the world of art and technology.

What is the general attitude towards AI illustration in Japan. Do illustrators feel like they will become obsolete? Do music producers prefer AI illustrations in their videos over original illustrations?
@regulusTM Жыл бұрын
I don't know the overall opinion of the Japanese people, so I will answer based on my personal thoughts. It is easy to imagine that all kinds of creative works, including illustrations, will be automatically and inexpensively created by AI in the future, potentially putting human creators who were originally engaged in such activities at risk. The same applies to music composition. However, if the end result that reaches consumers is satisfactory, whether it is created by humans or AI should not be the primary concern, in my opinion. With the advancement of technology, if the old ways no longer suffice, humans need to adapt and explore new methods. Of course, if it's a hobby rather than a business, one can continue with the same approach. As for my videos, when it comes to the illustrations that match my music, I don't really care whether they were created by AI or not. I simply judge and appreciate what's good.

@@regulusTM a lot of AI art generators use data that was taken without consent of the artists. It's disappointing to hear that you will use them as long as the end product is pretty enough
