Hi Oluv. Thank you once again for all your unbiased work, enthusiasm and valued opinion. From your reviews, for me the B&O P6 doesn’t quite cut it against the likes of Vifas or the H&K go + play. Like so many ‘of a certain age’ and many younger, I have a hearing problem. To people like me clarity is far more important than volume, size, a wide sound stage, waterproofing and to a degree price. So I love the clarity of the Vifa Oslo/ Helsinki but also appreciate the warmth and base punch of the H&K go+play, although somewhat muffled by comparison. I primarily need a speaker to play clearly at low volume - almost background levels so that I can still hear conversation. Perhaps you would be good enough to also comment on low listening levels in your reviews and advise if any of the above are suitable. I’ve also considered the Envaya and Revolve. Can you help me from making an expensive mistake?Ps. At time of writing Vifa Copenhagen 1 going for £320 and Helsinki for £175.

It is by far very mature and more audiophile inclined than other reviewers. Hi :-) I am loving your reviews! I have a little request. I have a Bose Soundlink Revolve+ myself and I did notice that the bass and the sound becomes much more full if you let it reflect against a surface, for example on a book shelf, close to a wall or window. I think it would compare much better against the toaster then. Keep up the good work. I am enjoying your content!

Great review as always.Would be nice to hear the opinions of your co-presenter! Do you ever test these speakers using a portable digital player and the 3.5mm socket? Tried this recently with a KEF which previously I wasn’t that impressed with. That totally transformed the sound.
@Evan0586 жыл бұрын
If you place the P6 exactly with a 45 degrees angle in a 90 degrees corner of a room, the sound from the speakers on both side will be reflected on the walls straight into your face if you are in line with the side of the speaker, and maybe this gives you some more real stereo!

I found your channel just yesterday searching for a new Bluetooth speaker after I lost mine a years ago at the linkin park concert in Monza. I just want to thank you for all the professionalism and meticulousness you put in your reviews, and I'm going for sure to listen some of your music on SoundCloud cause i'm curious. I'm Italian by the way so if my English is not perfect forgive me. I want to ask you an advice on my imminent purchase of a new speaker... I have a maximum budget of 80/85€ and, watching your reviews, I choose to buy the soundbox XL over the anker soundcore boost and over the Douni A7...now, considering how much quick the world of the Bluetooth speaker is evolving, and the fact that the doss soundbox XL is something around 10months old or more, do you advice me to wait for a new model ? There are some rumours of new speakers for the price of my budget ? Thank you so much and sorry for the long comment haha. (I consider myself an audiophile so advice me wisely) bye 😃.

B&O sounds really nice if you like the “spacial” sound. I like the bass and the balanced treble. Personally I prefer the Vifa. More direct, in your face, sound and punchy bass. The B&O “toaster” (great remark of your son! Lol) is a bit too pricey also, for what you get. Denon is still in the lead. The toaster isn’t an Envaya killer. Thanks for the first small review, enjoy the weekend!

Great video as always. To me it seams that the P6 has better bass. However, nothing beats a real life test, even with high end headphones. I have the Beolit 15 and A1. Both I love for different reasons. I wanted to get another speaker to complement both of them. I was ready to pull the trigger on the p6 until this video. In another video of yours you said you would choose the A1 over the Helsinki. That confused me
@rossdev6 жыл бұрын
I have both beolit 15 and a1 too. The a1s sound great as a stereo pair (as do the 15s of course).Worth considering as an alternative to the p6

I bought it in the B&O store in Canada 3 days ago, for CAD 398 (EUR 259) At that price, Im pretty happy with it... the Helsinki is CAD 579 (EUR 375) here in Canada... I havent done a direct comparison like in this video, only heard them on 2 different occasions. Ive got my P6 kinda in the middle of my apartment, I agree that the bass can get a little weird at 100% volume, but i dont think its terrible. Its the same price here as the Revolve+, and I would take the P6 over it any day. I think its the best 360 degree speaker i've heard so far. I was actually leaning towards the Denon 250, but I just see sooo many issues with the battery and the volume bug, and that kinda scared me...

Although the bass on the Helsinki had more kick, the P6 seemed to go deeper on the B and O. Really quite like the speaker! Shame about the price though! I recently saw the Helsinki for 170 British pounds, so at that price the Helsinki is the clear winner! There are however great prices to be had on the a to active, now around 220 British pounds. The P6 replaces the A2.
@oluvsgadgets6 жыл бұрын
It is just fake bass and special efx, the Vifa plays deeper and way more controlled, especially at high levels. At low levels even the XB20 has a similar bass response.
@mac15296 жыл бұрын
clavinetjunkie I do agree concerning the bass on vifa. But the problem of it is that one can only enjoy its strong bass kick on very high levels when in neutral mode, and when in late night mode it punches better than the P6 around 50% to 70% vol. More than that, it distorts... I listened to it on a store and I couldn't believe how boring it sounds... really if I need a pure natural sound I would buy something like the iloud micro monitors which are more enjoyable.

i heard the P6 myself in Saturn store. i found the sound too algorythmic/unnatural for my taste, it has this sizzleing highs of the beolit series which renders everything so dull. it basically has much more in common with the beolit series than the A1 for example
@oluvsgadgets6 жыл бұрын
And has this bose type of bass
@cuerex85806 жыл бұрын
yeah probably different divisions of the field testing at B&O with different people tuning the sound. if only the executioners of the A1 could reintroduce a sonic boom again like that. a Reykjavik would easily outpace it, if it wasn't for the audiophile giggles it spits in conjuction to a lesser emphasized fun signature which works better anywhere and would amaze anyone.
