@@johnmalaiholloif you’re in America, look up Black and White ebony. I know it’s found in the Laos region. It might also be called Mun ebony and the B&W ebony is just the sap wood portion

I absolutely love the kinda of degree that the Japanese haven’t taken carpentry. Absolutely stunning and beautiful work they do. Especially the ones that don’t use nails and carve beautiful joints to lock them in

Leave it to the Japanese to create wonderful wood tooling! Not only useful but just as beautiful as they are useful.... Hopefully not too redundant... Appreciation for woodworking spans all nationalities and is just as inspiring no matter what language you speak or where you lay your head down on a pillow!
