So interesting that you all spoke about Christians that believe in New Age. I was mildly involved in New Age as a Christian for about 3 1/2 years. The only reason I did not dive deeper is because I had a firm foundation in God and Jesus ever since I was a child so many things in New Age were unfamiliar to me or made me uncomfortable. I think the biggest reason why there are Christians that believe in it is because they are not firm in their faith and also it is promoted everywhere. Angel numbers, manifesting, scripting, money oils, crystals, astrology, everything is promoted like its normal. It’s easy to fall into if you’re not proactive in your Word. That’s how I got into it. Although I had a foundation in Christ I was still interested in these things not knowing they go directly against Him. Even though I wasn’t heavily involved some of the things I participated in actually worked (manifesting, scripting, etc.) Now that I am older and becoming much more firmer in Christ I understand that these things are not of God. I think for many Christians it is simply ignorance to God’s word.

Mane I remember years ago when my husband and I first brought our home. Jehovah witnesses kept coming to our door every weekend and the mail box. I was reared up in the church but I wasn’t strong in my faith or word back then. I didn’t have time to listen to JW either cause I knew better. It was this one particular weekend my mom and I came back from shopping, my husband was walking towards us and this car pull up in the drive way. JW got out the car, started talking to my mama, she listened and every single question she shut them down with the true word it God. My husband & I both stood afar listening to her calmly shut them up. They got in the car and left. We til this very day haven’t seen them come to our address again… I knew right there that my mom had her armor on and ready to battle. From her faith Ive seen her steps from me being a young child to a grown woman now and can proudly say, I walk beside her and follow Christ with my whole heart.

About three weeks ago I finished reading my Bible cover to cover, but I also have a seat for Bible and that is twice as heavy as my regular Bible so it might take me twice as long to read but it took me about a year to read it but if you start reading like 30 chapters a week, you can probably finish and I say nine or 10 months💯💯💯💯💯

That’s the thing about Christianity, it’s not your behavior that makes you a Christian it’s what you believe. Remember we are saved by God’s grace through faith, and not of works. Your faith in the Gospel is what saves a person and what makes the a Christian. If a person doesn’t believe the Gospel, then they aren’t a Christian. I went through my own process of questioning things, after reading this book, I realized that Christianity is the only way to God. I don’t follow religion, I follow Christ, I go to church, but the most important thing is my relationship with God!!!! Truly knowing him intimately ❤❤❤

There’s quite a few Christian apologetics books that will teach you about other religions from the Christian perspective so you don’t have to dive super deep. James white has a book called what every Christian needs to know about the Quran, Thabiti Anyabwile has a book called the gospel for Muslims. You can also look at KZbin apologists like Preston Perry, David Wood, Capturing Christianity, William lane Craig, vocab Malone, and others once you start digging into KZbin apologists the algorithm will show you more unfortunately I can’t remember all of them off the top of my head

Excellent question! Definitely pray and prepare yourself. It can be a journey filled with pitfalls. You are going to hear challenges to your faith that you never even thought of before. It will cause you to cling close to Christ and desire to learn even more about him so you can adequately defend the faith. Like other repliers have said, its easier when you are guided by someone in the faith that you trust. There are good apologetics channels on KZbin that will show you the objections and opposing beliefs while providing you the biblical lens to view them through at the same time. If you ever feel shaky make sure you have strong people you trust to keep you grounded. But ultimately the goal is to use the knowledge to be a witness so don't lose sight of that. My father was an evangelist (this is Sean talking by the way) and in his training they were required to learn the beliefs of others to have more of an empathetic approach to witnessing. Just like Paul and the shrine to the unknown God. If you know where they are in error you can introduce the truth more effectively.

It’s so important to read and learn the Bible. In Psalms 82:6, the Bible does say that we are gods (with a little g) in Hebrews 2:7-9 that His children are made a little lower than the angels. But Satan wanted to become God. We have to make sure that we are keeping ourselves humble and fearing the Lord. God is sovereign.

I’m happy to see Vicky standing up for herself, and her faith. But this is also a prime example why discipleship and reading our word is so important. The Bible tells us that we’re going to need to be able to combat the enemy that our faith will be tested. knowing scriptures that help support statements as to why we aren’t God, but made in his image that we have dominion, authority, and free will that in that free will we make covenant with things that aren’t of God and therefore takes out his for us and etc. extremely happy to see this, but I also wonder who is discipling her.

Love this convo. I remember getting into it with someone because they claimed “we are gods”. But now I’m starting to think it’s not entirely a false statement, though it is very dangerous. 1. We are God’s - as in we belong to Christ. 2. We make ourselves gods by serving ourselves (idolatry) and putting our will before the will of the Father. 3. As spiritual beings with the power of the Holy Spirit we are kinda like gods as His sons and daughters, but we are not the one true God. We are not the king of kings we’re just kings. All of them use the Psalm 82:6 “I say ye are Gods and all of you are children of the Most High”. Also Jesus used the same verse after they were trying to stone him because he called The son of God. Notice though. When they refer to the Most High there’s a Capital G and any other god the Bible uses a small g. So Asaph in psalm 82 was prophesying to the Creation of God,mainly to those who had lost their position in heaven because the verses before verse 6 is talking about the way these spirits have been oppressing the poor. Hence the verse after verse 6 said “but ye will die like Men”. So if this scripture was addressed to Men like me and you to be gods it wouldn’t liken their death as to Men. Jesus reference this scripture to speak about Heavenly beings and said “If he called THEM gods to which this prophecy was directed” how can you say unto him(Jesus speaking of himself) who the father sanctified and sent into the world, that I blasphemest, because I call myself the Son of God?” So no where in that was Jesus saying to any of the people he was in that moment speaking to that they were Gods. So many of these celebrities love to quote that scripture with no understanding and no Holy Ghost. This is why reading the Bible from a carnal mind they end up confused because they can’t understand the Bible is living and not just a book.

I'm sorry sir, 2 Timothy 3:5 doesn't mean what you just said it means. In chapter 2 of 2 Timothy, Paul is telling Timothy about being a good soldier by sharing in Christ's suffering and how no active-duty soldier gets wrapped up in the affairs of life outside of military service, but his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. Then he goes on to talk about how he SUFFERS for the sake of the elect that they may obtain salvation. He then tells Timothy to rightly divide the word of truth through study and as a result avoid the shame of not knowing the truth v.15. But then Paul switches gears in v.16 and begins to tell Timothy what and WHO to avoid, then starts chapter 3 by telling Timothy difficult days will come and what people will BE LIKE v2. Lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, v5. and as a result of people being this way, Paul then says they will have an appearance or FORM of godliness, greek word for form is morphosīs which means an outward form, mold or shaping, but they deny its power. They will hold to what appears to be Godly and religious on the outside, but their conduct will cancel out or nullify their claim of faith in Christ. They will do their best to appear religious, but their behavior will betray them..denying the power of the new life given to us in Christ and the spirit that gives us the power to change and live right. At the end of that verse Paul says, Avoid such people and stay away from them! My friend, in context, 2 Timothy 3:5 has nothing to do with us having a form of godliness as it pertains to being little g God's or that we're created from him and have a form of godliness. This is all about pretenders in the Church, among believers who are marked out by their behavior although they play church and religion but due to them not being born again, there is no change therefore no power to do away with these sinful behaviors. In context, that's what 2 Timothy 3:5 means. Respectfully.

in my understanding the Glory of being like Christ comes in knowing that the holy spirit that is Christ and all the amazing things that he did on the earth lives in us and by choosing him he can work in and trough us. Tasha k and many who live abd want to think like her are mad at the truth of the word against their son. The difference is we as believers, chose to stop fighting with Gods truth and instead want to be changed by it. Being hubled by God is not a good feeling but that is what a beliver sacrifices.

Man, thank you for posting this video. The conversation you all had at the end really opened my eyes about growing in my faith in Jesus. It helped me to further understand the importance of reading God's Word and enlightened me on dealing with the various opinions of the world. There was a time when I watched so many different videos that I didn’t know what to listen to. I realized that I needed to focus on reading God's Word so that I can discern truth from falsehood when listening to others. I've also wondered how I could bring others to faith in Jesus, but this video has helped me realize that the stronger my faith in Jesus Christ and the more I grow in the knowledge of God's Word, the better I'll be able to help others come to Christ.
