Nope. Why because they put a buffer system on a straight blow back? The APC9 can't hold a candle to the MP5. Here we are 65 years after the MP5 and it's roller delayed blow back and we still have simple blow back SMGs somehow pretending to be cool. APC9 has more in common functionally with the STEN or M3 Grease Gun that it does with a more advanced SMG like the MP5. SIG, HK, and FN are the Big Three in the weapons industry right now. And the MP5 is still THE dominant force in the world of SMGs, as evident by the fact you still try to compare your silly straight blow back B&T with it.

Seems like a solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist. You have 2 options to get sub-subsonic sound out of a suppressor: Use heavier ammunition that is already subsonic, or slow down lighter ammunition to subsonic speeds. If both rounds are going the same speed anyway wouldn’t you rather have the heavier round? I would. It means more energy on target.
@Iamtherealjerkfreak5 жыл бұрын
Nicklaus Tietje these guns are duty guns not sport guns... made for military and police... your squad have 3 apc or any other 9mm pistol pcc... do you realy wanna be the only guy whit different amo? No cause you wanna use what everyone else uses...
@nicklaustietje27495 жыл бұрын
Iamtherealjerkfreak actually you kinda hit my point. I was expecting the argument against what I said to be that ammo is cheaper. Well being duty guns that shouldn’t really matter. Also the fact that these guns are so expensive counters the cheaper ammo argument. In response to your point, I am not now or have ever been in the military or law enforcement service, so I have nothing to support what I’m about to say: why does your squad only have pcc’s? That seems unrealistic and underpowered for LEOs and military. Why are you the only person in your squad with a suppressed barrel? Either you need stealth or not right? If you end up using your squads ammo I’m assuming shit has hit the fan so bad already that stealth has gone out the window so what’s the point of you continuing to be sub-sonic? Lastly seeing as 9’s are so small and lightweight compared to rifle ammo you can strap on with your gear so much that you have to be in a really bad situation to run dry.
@Iamtherealjerkfreak5 жыл бұрын
Nicklaus Tietje looooot of police forces in Europe only carry 9mm mp5 and mp5sds even special forces in the military use over here more often smg instead of unrealiable short 223s... for many reasons. Why only one guy might have a sd? Simple sometimes you just ned one quite bullet... ;) further on you’re right 9mm amo is quite light to carry but most military’s only have one 9mm ball(NATO spec) round. The logistics and cost for a second specialized sub sonic round is often just a to big of a hazard too.. so the simple solution is buy a gun that can use everything...

A very powerful .380 maybe. 380 isn't commonly the same grain weight as a 9mm, meaning the 9mm should have more energy when subsonic. American Eagle .380 acp: 95g fmj at 980 ft/s = 203 ft. lbs. American eagle 9mm: 115g fmj at 1180 ft/s = 356 ft. lbs The 9mm hits 207 ft. lbs. at 900 ft/s so it would have to slow the smallest grain weight 9mm down 100 ft/s slower than .380 for them to be the same "power". You just don't get a lot of power out of subsonic rounds so I wouldn't be complaining if I were them folks, just don't buy that suppressor.
@Paelorian5 жыл бұрын
The porting is great if the gun is for plinking or target shooting, but for defense I would load heavy bullets, which at full velocity are much more powerful than light bullets with much reduced velocity. 147gr rounds are now inexpensive and widely available. Civilians including police have no trouble obtaining 147gr rounds, and I would submit that military units that would have a gun like a APC9-SD would very likely have the ability to use it with non-standard 147gr ammo. Given that this has a pistol-length barrel, they could have shortened it to keep 147gr reliably subsonic. If I were B&T I would offer the barrel porting as an option, so that those who prefer to shoot heavier bullets at the same velocity would be able to. But I wouldn't use a semi-auto 9x19mm for self-defense, anyway, so it doesn't matter much to me. At the range cheap light ammo is fine. I'd only consider choosing a 9x19mm gun as large as the APC9-SD to defend my life if it was select-fire like the military and police version. That barrel (including the integral suppressor) looks like it's only a few inches short of the 16" legal limit. For us common civilians subject to the NFA, I would have preferred a barrel slightly longer, just above 16", so that it would legally be a ("Title I", or regular) rifle that a stock could be mounted to. Then there would be no concern about the legal status of braces changing in the future and so changing the legal status of this firearm.
@neurotoksyn5 жыл бұрын
The suppressor isn't integral and the barrel length is like 6 inches. It is "integral" only because it is intended to be fired with a can but the two items (the APC9 and the B&T suppressor) are sold separately, however many retailers are selling them together as a combo. The can mounts to threads near the chamber and just beyond them are the gas ports. From the factory it is possible to fire without the suppressor, which is why the gun ships with a nut covering the ports that you have to remove first if you want to mount the suppressor.

Who would have thought a design made to effectively suppress supersonic ammo for tactical purposes would turn into the perfect system for regular folks to quiet down noisy 115gr range ammo.

So whats the advantage when you can reload 147, 150, 158 grain?

147 fmj in 9mm with suppression works good, I've heard.

From my understanding, the 147s is where you start losing reliability with the integrally suppressed sub guns.

Looks like metal or metal lined polymer aftermarket mags have a niche for these 9mm pcc’s

Crucial question unanswered Tim, Does it hip-fire eighties style with brace folded?

Do the Swiss just have to put holes in everything?

Why do people say that the SD "slows the bullet down"? That's not true, it doesn't allow the bullet to speed up but no slowing down is involved.

Will it stabilize 147gr subsonic or will they be too slow?

The first B&T I purchased, but I used the Silencerco omega 9sd can because it was 4" shorter

Hello I just wanted to ask you if you have ever heard of the a-91. Its a bullpup ak that I haven't seen anyone do a review or tourcher test of. If you could I like to see you do a video of one.

I like to use a SOL suppresser on my CNN9, however I prefer the custom CDC builds for my FOX suppressors even though they don't produce the speeds that my NBC barrel does on a normal basis.

This is one of those firearms that while I find the concept and technology that goes into them, I don't want one. Each to their own.
@Jarrow135 жыл бұрын
I agree. For me personally it becomes a specialist firearm. The suppressor is solely for this B&T. Also most 147 gr ammo runs subsonic like CCI blazer 147 gr runs at about 950 fps through a suppressor (CCI blazer 147gr is affordable ammo. Can get things done much more affordably to make a PPC more quiet. If money wasn't an issue, I would love to get one, but I can't see spending that kind of MY OWN money for something when there are much more affordable alternatives where affordable 147 gr ammo resolves the super sonic issue.

Would like to see a comparison of the B&T SD vs the Innovative Arms Evo.

I can do that. :)

I would love the APC9 for less money. Like $1,500 without the fancy buffer system. But I guess that's essentially what the GHM9 is, I'm just worried that long receiver will be uncomfortable to shoot.

WC_2 Electric_Boogaloo GHM9 very comfortable to shoot, I own both, anything B&T is awesome
@ALovelyBunchOfDragonballz5 жыл бұрын
@@willsimmons9946 I'm worried the end of the reciever is going to exactly where my cheek is, and on top of that the stock (my default) will start where my beard is an pull hairs. (I run very short length of pulls, that's why I'm worried) I've been trying to get my hands on a GHM9 to hold, but no one can get one in locally.

I'm not sure how I feel about integrally suppressed guns... 🤔 I really want a Honey Badger, but what am I supposed to do when the suppressor wears out? 🥺

This gun would look awesome with the Magpul Zhukov stock on it. And you would probably get a much better cheek purchase on this pcc too. My Scorpion is formed 1 and have the Zhukov stock on it. I get a significant better cheek purchase (over the CZ stock) and the Scorpion just looks much better. Form and function for the Scorpion. My Scorpion is what I would grab and use in a Home setting. I also have a compact can on my Scorpion too. These type of set ups are perfect for Home environments.
