whatever happened to music, where did we lost that magic? where did they go? is it ever coming back?

The old days are the old days and they are not coming back.

I'd find this far more enjoyable if banners and numbers weren't blocking everything out.

What a strange combination for funk: A Fender Precision and a Gibson Firebird. Jazz Bass and a Telecaster or a Strat is the norm.

The Precision isn’t really strange in this context; Ohio Players, Kool & The Gang, Brainstorm & The Commodores all had Bassists who played P basses. However the Firebird is really rare.

@@warrencox7852 I agree. The P bass is one of the most versatile and iconic basses ever made. (Freddie Washington used a '73 P on Patrice Rushen's Forget Me Nots.) The brighter tone of a Jazz Bass made it the popular choice for this genre. A Firebird? C'mon. A fine instrument, but a rare sight indeed. Especially in this context. Bravo to any musician who uses an unorthodox instrument to create beautiful music. Leon Sylvers III uses a Ric.
