My second purchase of a BW turnoverball. The first one has served me very well and I have used it to tow several gooseneck trailers over the years. I just purchase a 17,000 lbs toyhauler RV and I have already modified it with a Reese "goose box" just so I could use BW's turnover ball system on my new truck and not have to deal with my bed full of an old school 5th wheel hitch. Thank you BW for a quality product.

I wasn't clear on whether or not to follow the instructions... ;) lol. Great video, wish it was available when I installed last year. Really enjoying the hitch. Thanks B&W.

I swear you guys found the most clean truck in usa to do this work to, also im sure that that bed has a 1/2" body lift on it and was prep'ed for install, cuz mine did not go as smooth as your demo.

Nice tip with the sponge and cutting oil. There's nothing like blowing a hole in a new truck bed to make it real. Measure twice, cut once. And, Read the friggin' instructions!!!

I was just wondering exactly how and in which way would I actually be able to follow instructions?
@toddburch9 жыл бұрын
Great video, and great care was shown on how to drill in the right spot for a clean hole… but then, at 3:10, you just chucked the STILL ROTATING drill and hole saw onto the bed when you were finished with it. I'm certain that scratched the bed! Duh!

Hmmm - no wheel well liners? Seems most pu's have them and you need to drill a 3 or 4 inch hole in them to access the latching lever.
@roylemke47238 жыл бұрын
is a great hitch but make sure that it is installed properly there are places out there that install them wrong on the ford super duty it is a breeze to do it your self but the ram and the chevy there is alot of stuff in the way that makes the installation a bear if you do not know what you are doing.

I bought a used b&w gooseneck hitch with all the hardware...are the bolts reusable or not getting different answers...what do you guys recommend???
@harrylindanicholson33515 жыл бұрын
On a full size Dually, it is next to impossible to install the front left side bolt for holding the 5th wheel supports. Drill 4 holes for U bolts and one for goose neck ball

Do you guys sell a Turnover ball for the Aero 96 F350 7.3 or not cuz I'm gonna on the lookout for a Gooseneck ball for a 96 7.3 dually
@BWTrailerHitches Жыл бұрын
For your 1996 F350 we can recommend one of the Turnoverball hitch kits below. You will just need to determine if your truck does or does not have overload springs. GNRK1100 | bwtrailerhitches.com/kits/gnrk1100 (Fits 1980-1998 Ford F250 & F350 trucks without overload springs.) Or the GNRK1110 | bwtrailerhitches.com/kits/gnrk1110 (Fits 1980-1998 Ford F250 & F350 trucks with overload springs - requires Drilling into Frame.)

What is the torque on the bolts
@BWTrailerHitches9 жыл бұрын
Tim Burnette Every hitch and even different area of the hitch have different torque specs, so there really isn’t a standard answer. But listed below is the 1108 torque specs. 1. Tighten the center section to cross member bolts to 80 ft pounds. 2. Check to ensure the assembled center section is square with the frame. 3. Tighten the ¾” side plate bolts to 120 ft pounds. 4. Tighten the bottom clamping strap bolts to side plate to 80 ft pounds. 5. Tighten the clamping strap studs to 60 ft pounds. 6. Tighten the side plate to angle bolts 80 ft pounds. If the emergency brake cable has been removed, take the 5/16” nut off the previously installed bolt. Place the emergency brake cable bracket over the bolt, replace the nut and tighten.
