Great content brother. Would like to add few things. 1. Indian bullets do not have catalytic converter , but a heat sinking jaali , that soaks a lot of heat at the end of bend pipe which burns unburnt hydrocarbons. This heavy restriction causes a lot of back pressure , so much that, how much ever free flowing the remaining of your exhaust is , it doesn't alter the back pressure. So a free flow exhaust + *a hollow bend pipe* + an upjetted carb + free flow air filter gives a nice boost in performance. 2. Exhaust gases should be evacuated quickly and in large amounts, so a free flow exhaust may have more "volume" for gases to pass through but certainly no provision to push it out at high velocity. So restrictions are always not bad. Also an improper AFR may result in exhaust backfires,fouling plugs and worse , burnt valves. 3. With free flow exhausts , there will be a considerable loss in bottom end torque but a better top end , since REs seriously lack power , i highly doubt the benefit of using aftermarket exhausts other than some minor weight reduction and better(subjective) acoustics.

+Balaji S great info Brother... I'm currently using a free flow long Punjab with a knn air filter.. I find a good low end torque and a quite decent performance all the way till 80-90 kmph! Just that, I notice a few mis mires at times.. but overall, no major set backs.. Btw, I also got a free flow bent pipe, but, the exhaust note was so loud that I had to go back to stock pipe...

If less back pressure means engine runs lean and hot which is detramintal in the long run.

Nice video. Really informative. If I want to change my silencer to a red rooster for example I will also be installing the K&N air filter. would I need to rejet the carb?
@BulletismUnlimited7 жыл бұрын
+Santosh Rajagopalan well, I don't think you need to right away.. Experiment one by one. RRP exhaust for a month, then knn n maybe later rejet. This way, u know the difference in performance n u start loving urbike even more ;)

Hi , I am using Red rooster silencer for more than 20k kms and kn air filter. My chrome 500 bike has done 25k kms. But now I feel the drop in power , it’s become more linear 3 r 4 secs delay clearly evident during overtakes.little clanking noise is also felt from engine My mechanic says engine head needs to be changed and some problems wit fuel injector. Wat should i do now. I need performance I had plans to install powertronics ECU ,Should I change to stock exhaust and Ecu? Plz clarify, thank you!
@BulletismUnlimited6 жыл бұрын
Maybe the mechanic is right.. get the head work done and check the fuel injector cleaned. Red rooster is a good choice, continue using it... After head work, go for ecu from RD. Take a second opinion about the head work, make sure you use motul 300v engine oil next time.. this oil does magic on a RE. All the best, keep me posted...

Hi, I have question.. I've 3500 km driven Bullet Electra 350 (BS4). Till now I've not done any changes in my Gun. I want to replace the silencer from Company fitted to Long Bottle Punjab silencer. Is it a good choice? As per Govt Regulations and Milage performance both? I enjoy riding my Bullet at around 50 kmph and mainly inside the city area. What is your suggestion?
@BulletismUnlimited6 жыл бұрын
Long Punjab is a great exhaust. You can consider it right away.. I think 3500 kms is a decent reading to experiment on your bull on. No, you won't see a dip in the performance.. infact, you might start loving the improved throttle response and the better sound too.. In Bangalore the cops seem to have a problem with the loud exhausts... But ppl still use it ... Pls check how's the scene in your city... All the best .. keep exploring...
@dipanmodi946 жыл бұрын
Bulletism Unlimited So ultimately its a pretty good choice from the technical POV. I also believe in following Traffic Rules so If the traffic rules don't allow the Punjab Silencer here, what can be the next good choice? I'm from Ahmedabad(Guj).
@BulletismUnlimited6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately none of them are street legal if you ask me. The cops dislike anything thats not company fitted.. you could try short bottle... And say it came company fitted ;) But if the cop is smart, you end up paying fine...
@dipanmodi946 жыл бұрын
Bulletism Unlimited 😂 Yeah Thanks for the genuine info. I would check with our state and city RTO rules before replacing silencer... Thanks.
@BulletismUnlimited6 жыл бұрын
If money is not an issue, I would say buy it.. install it on a Saturday evening, use it on a Sunday, take your bull out on a highway n enjoy city rides too ;) Right now there are no RTO rules as such... U could argue, but the cops always win... Good luck!

Before coming back to stock silencer, pls get the carb tuned once... Get air filter also cleaned once... Check mileage again
@xshay29066 жыл бұрын
Every Bulleteer has its own concepts and Facts. In my opinion (based on the official Royal Enfield manual and Garage Mechanic Facts) In order to switch to any after market exhaust (or any modification that directly or indirectly associated with the Engine Efficiency) Royal Enfield must complete its initial Run Period. A strech Run Period will Range from 3500kms to 5000kms. It is not advisable to change or modify bike components unless and untill you have completed Initial Run Period. Your Royal Enfield needs time to adjust with the default settings.

I got a doubt ,when back pressure is low leads increased combustion , that means more fuel and air then fuel economy ?
@BulletismUnlimited7 жыл бұрын
+vineeth kattungal it doesn't increase combustion, it improves combustion... A better combustion means a better fuel efficiency in many cases... Sometimes, mileage drops marginally.. but there are a lot of factors behind this again...

Sir my question is if I only remove the CatCon & use the stock silencer, will the thump sound better? And do all indoris, mini punjabs, etc. sound the same as I don't see a standardised manufacturing process. Each co. has their own type of mini punjab & indori. Could you recommend a co. which makes the best ones(I've heard of Sans & globe exhaust).

Hi..... I want to improve my performance on the Max Speed part.. and I know it might hamper my Mielage a bit.... Can you give me details like what do i exactly need to do to upjet the carb.. Just change the Pilot and Main jet (If yes then what and which one ?)... I am using Royal enfield Classic 350 (2013)... Please add your suggestios to the above points...

+Nirmal Anand that's right... For the stock setup, you don't need to change the jet.. u could still get it tuned for either mileage or better power... A good tuner usually tries to do a balance .. so that u don't get a hit on mileage and neither is power too less

So if possible suggest me good Soft seat cover having sweat absorbing material. Its trouble for me so expecting your helping suggestion asap.

I will fit it my own.
