For those Windows user that can't detect the B3N, its in the USB cable. Not all cables can do data transfer, some are only for power supply.

Hi, I've got a question. Is USB cable alone, capable of powering the B3n while connected to the PC via USB 3.0? Or do i need to get device plugged to the power adapter? (DC in)

You will need to power the B3n via power adapter.

I tried updating firmware and it says could not find MIDI out for G series. I selected Windows GS Wavetable Synth instead and the firmware ran. I just don't know if that is ok? I did select G series for MIDI IN though.

Are you positive that your USB cable can transfer data? Many micro USB cables can only be used for power. If this is not the issue, please email info@zoom-na.com or call (631) 542-5270

@@ZoomSoundLab my first attempt as stated above took like 30 mins to update on my laptop but seems it did not connect with my unit as there was no response on the unit saying update is done. Tried it 2nd time around using the Zoom G Series on both IN and OUT and now it worked and it seemed to connect now to my unit. update took like a minute or two. It was quick but I'm now on 2.20.

Many micro USB cables are able to transfer power but not data (this is common with micro USB cables for charging phones). You will need a USB cable that can transfer data. Could you test with another USB cable that can transfer both power and data?
