@@kimmccarthy7747 I thought he made it pretty clear why he joined Nightwatch: More money to do what he’s already doing, in his mind. As for later on, I thought it seemed obvious he was going with the Captain and the Chief and putting Nightwatch in a trap.

It's great how they really make you think G'kar is going to have her assassinated to keep something secret, and then it turns out he really is on the level, and that first layer of the onion is pelled away, revealing that G'kar isn't the pseudo-villain that season 1 starts him off to be.

To be fair, G'Kar was looking out for his people's interests even if he did it in a shady way at first plus his harsh actions towards Londo in "Midnight on the Firing Line" were born out of hatred for what the Centari did to his people in the past. You have to remember that G'Kar grew up during the later years of the Centari occupation of his homeworld so of course he's going to be angry and hate filled towards the Centari at first and would get angry at others like Sinclair for what he sees as a lack of understanding on their part. This episode DOES show though that there's good in G'Kar and that he wants to help others, he's just got a lot of issues to work out which he does over time.

Same. The big B5 wisdom for me though is that my wife and I never part without saying "I love you". Should anything happen, these will have been the last words to pass between us.

The only thing I didn't like about this show is how mundane the First Ones turned out to be. Lorain was cool, like a wise grade father. And I get that was the point that there really just like us, and there is no reason for us to die under them, but still. What G'kar said is true. It was nice to have some things unexplained. And what Sheridan said is also true. The B5 univers did feel smaller with them explained and gone. The Expanse is doing a much better job with it's first ones, I hope they don't mess it up.

and he get his points better a cross in later life. G'Kar [about to leave the Liandra for Babylon 5] It's quite a place. A bit like the Technomages in that way. If he tries to stop her he will only harden her resolve. If he tries to explain what goes on, she won't believe him. So this is all he can do, a cryptic remark and a pot-shot attempt to get her to change her mind. He's hoping that whatever her mind conjures up of the reason will stop her. Because the real reason will sound too made up and backfire.
