There was a prophecy about Londo's death. He died by the hand of G'Kar and G'Kar died by the hand of Londo. In the end G'Kar did not kill Londo as an enemy, he saved his old friend and Centauri population from suffering. Once sworn mortal enemy who became a friend and a brother in the end. Magnitude of G'Kars loyalty, honour and forgiveness is astronomical.

What strikes me about this scene is the Narn *were* free, and they chose to use that freedom to get revenge on their old captors who were dying a quiet death. All they had to do was live out the "living well is the best revenge" mantra, but nope. Remember, first episode, this started with the Narns attacking the Centauri colonies until the Centauri were desperate enough to strike a deal with the Shadows.

Sheridan's fathers advice: 'Don't be the one to start a fight but be the one to finish' applies to the Narn, they pushed the Centauri since the occupation and in the pilot they were referenced as having conquered other planets. They openly attacked the Centauri in the first episode and G'kar made a dumb demand of a couple in the episode 'Believers' about helping their son. Without the Shadows, the Centauri were winning on every front, the Shadows only intervened at Quadrant 14 and at Gorash. While it's easy to feel pity for the Narn you have to remember at their height they were the worst and though G'kar changed, his people really hadn't learned a damned thing.
