love the video and its crazy to see how things have come along with the MHD OTS maps. Made 507whp/590tq on 20.3 psi stage 2 OTS with E40/93 blend. Everyone said dont worry about exhaust after the downpipe, but I welded up my own custom single 3.5" and top end holds power much better now. TU pump, intake, DP and exhaust only 2017 m240i. spool 180 pump and flex fuel coming this week, then custom tune to see what it can make.

@@kern417just got stage 2, thought next step would be tu pump 93 but after research I think for real gains I’m going to do tu and flex fuel kit and get e on weekends or when I can. That should put me in for some solid stock turbo gains compared to stage 2 right? Don’t really want to upgrade turbo, but looking to get like 480 hp comfortably. Also got xhp stage 3 which is such a difference.

It's at Eurocharged in Cincinnati Ohio. It has awd capability but they disconnected the front rollers since my car is rwd.

To run e85, is the Bosch HPFP (tu) adequate to run e85? I have heard mixed reviews saying only e50/ others saying full e85

Pretty sure full e85 actually lowers the power with just the TU pump. For full e85 you need the Dorch stage 2. With the TU pump you should get a decent amount more power on e40-50

Good information! 2 questions. How did you know you had spark blowout? I bought the engine intake and did get a power increase but mostly midrange torque. But, my part throttle acceleration got slower so I end up using more gas around town because I want more pick up and go. Do you feel your making more power/torque with stock box over Dinan?

@@kern417 M240i guys get corrections on our platform I think a little more the 3 series. You know of any work arounds? I've already tried e50-e65 on the e40 stg 2 hpfp MHD map. Even working on a custom tune. Corrections can get aggressive sometimes. It seems corrections start in the meat of the torque band. Easing into the throttle helps but That makes for slower times. It feels and looks ike the ecu is using corrections to control traction according to logs although DSC full off. Still on TU plugs gapped to .25.

I have a 16' 340 that I just did the stage 2 DE pump in. Releasing the OTS maps for the 2+ E30 essentially made getting a custom tune before doing a turbo pointless. There's really no reason to until you get the larger pump and want to do full E85, and/or a turbo upgrade. They obviously have plans to do flex fuel integration at which point the only reason for a custom tune will be a turbo upgrade.

@@kern417 Yeah, I did. I'm sorry. Listen I really like your videos and you seem like a really detailed and awesome human. But in summary the TU pump does not raise the fuel ceiling enough to be worth the effort unless you're going to flash an OTS 2+ map and stop right there. I sincerely hope this isn't where you're going to stop. The only people putting out content on these engines are YT fuck boi's that aren't half as useful as yourself. I was bored with the 2+ E30 map in a week or two. You'll get bored too. We'll see more content when you do. 😁

@@Asmo6 there's a lot more headroom in the TU pump than people realize. When I got this pump, there was no stage 2+ tune available. I installed it and went through custom tuning to test myself. Now I'll be going further to show people just what it can do. There are other examples out there if you search

I’m looking to do a full e85 tune like this eventually as i hate the idea of mixing and constantly testing the e85 and I live in Cali and don’t have access to 93... but my setup would be a little different. I have the Active Autowerke 300cell high flow cat and am running the Agency power intake on a ZF8 m240i. Do you think that my results would be significantly less impressive with the high flow cat instead of catless and the AP instead of oem intake? And am i understanding correctly that you are recommending Dorch HPFP over the TU for full e85 stock turbo application? If so, stage 1 or 2? Thanks! Always appreciate all the knowledge you help spread for this platform :)

No you won't have significant loss, but the e85 will clog your cat over time. It's best to go catless with full e85. It will take a while, but it will happen faster than running pump gas. Dorch stage 1 will help with stock turbo applications. Dorch stage 2 for big turbo applications. I wouldn't spend money on a custom tune with just the TU pump since gains are minimal but it works with a proper tune.

We have a Facebook group called B58 Discussion on Facebook, feel free to look it up. But a dyno doesn't need to connect to your tune. It just measures power when you accelerate on the rollers.

Temps do rise during a pull but drop back down immediately after a pull. They don't really heat soak unless you're pushing big power.

The primary benefit of the new engine is it can make more power on lower octane gas. Once you add the fuel pump it gets pretty close

Right, in 2020 the 340i changed to M340i and in 2021 the 440i changed to the M440i. Theh are 1 year off from each other for new models.
