Hey there, it’s me again, Jen! Today, I'm here to spill the beans about the ins and outs of raising Irish twins-you know, having two little girls just a year apart has been a whirlwind of pros and cons, especially with Baby A hitting 3 and the Baby B about to turn 2 this holiday season.
Let's talk about the upsides first. These girls? They're like two peas in a pod. They're not just sisters; they're best pals. Sharing interests, diapers, clothes - it's a breeze. Watching them learn together, crack eggs side by side, and even recite the alphabet in their own cute ways, it's heart-meltingly adorable. But, let's be real, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Coordinating their naps? It's like solving a puzzle. And don't get me started on handling back-to-back pregnancies. My body's been through the wringer.
But hey, it's all part of this crazy, beautiful journey of parenting. From managing their schedules to dealing with their different developmental stages, it's a rollercoaster I wouldn't trade for anything.
Join me as we unpack the reality of raising Irish twins - the chaos, the joy, and everything in between. Trust me, it's a wild ride worth every moment.

My boys are just over a year apart and they always were one outfit size difference until they were about. 4 and have the older one would grow out of clothes. And then the younger one would grow into them.. Definitely saved money on clothes. And they were always into the same toys.So I got them the same toys as they got older but one had one color and the other had the other color. Unfortunately is fortunately my older son Was hit and killed on his motorcycle. It was so Is incredibly hard for my younger son He never knew A life without his brother. Is there as close as twins. Thank goodness that I am close to Him I Was able to be there For the youngest one. Watching Them grow up together and be the best of friends Was Is such a blessing

My girls are 18 months apart and couldn't be more different. Eldest is tiny in height and circumference and the "little" one towers above us all. She is 4-5 dress sizes bigger than her sister and into hoodies, legging, sweats etc whilst her sister loves tights and skirts and skimpy clothing. Eldest is academic and ADHD anxious type, youngest is loud, confident and academic enough to get to the next stage without working too hard.

My sister and I are not Irish twins, but we were pretty close in age and we were and are pretty much the same size from when my sister turned three or four until now. We have always been best friends and grew up somewhat like twins. It is such a wonderful experience and we have such a deep bond.

Clothes are a huge thing! My sister and I can never tell ours apart. As soon as we began wearing the same size, we started labeling everything with our names. It's the only way that we can really tell who's is who's. We do share all the time, but at least that way, when we don't want to share, we know what belongs to who.

My sister is 2 years younger than me. She could share my clothes but I couldn't share hers. She was more slender than I was. I was so mad because she had some cute clothes! We shared a room and played and fought together all the time growing up. I love her so much! Very happy to have my sister.

I would love if you would do more parenting videos. Like how you turned that day around staying calm and redirecting the girls. Even though I'm not in that stage of life (my 3 are grown) I still love learning new techniques! And you've got skills!

@@kristensaenz6421 I feel the same way about my sister who is 2 years younger than me & we are absolutely best friends as adults. I was also the one who was always bigger so she could usually borrow my clothes if they were baggier style but I usually could not borrow hers until now

I noticed the Moab Utah shirt… I would like to invite you as my guest to our Bed n Breakfast lodge in Cedar City Utah. Look up Willow Glen Resort (actually Enoch Utah). The girls and dog will love it here. And we are near Zion, Bryce canyon, Brianhead Ski Resort. With my sister 14 months older than I, she always spoke for me I was told, and perhaps that is why I am shy, and still struggle with verbal skills! Also, every time I went to the dentist as a child I remember having four cavities. Perhaps my mother did not take vitamins regularly, And there was not fluoride in the water. My brother born three years after I, never had a cavity growing up, and we called him “Moss mouth” because he did not brush regularly when young. I’m sure you take vitamins. My 4 adult children have great teeth. Intermittently while growing up, I gave them fluoride supplements at bedtime, so the fluoride lingered longer on their teeth, I was inconsistent, but maybe it helped. I know fluoride in the water is controversial now, but wanted you to think about it.

My sons are 14 months apart. They were best friends - shared everything from toys to friends. They took after different sides of the family so they never wore the same size clothes. Besides, one was obsessed with superheroes while the other loved animals and dinosaurs so their clothing reflected that. When my oldest came to the hospital to meet his new baby brother, he walked down the hall all by himself - he had started walking full-time while he was visiting with Gramma and Grampa. It was so sweet and a memory I will always cherish. THEN - because life wasn’t chaotic enough - we had out daughter when #1 was 3 and #2 was 2.

@@MommingwithMigraine Surprisingly easy! The boys had each other for company so I could do newborn things with my daughter. I deliberately chose to formula feed though, because it was exhausting having two on a day/night schedule and then baby operating 24 hours. My husband definitely had to step up, which he did. I would do it again like that in a heartbeat. They are 21,20 and 18 now. It flies by!

Any concerns that this condition might very well pass on to your kids? I suspect my EDS comes from my mother's side. It all makes perfect sense now (at 55 years of age) but very difficult. Very difficult days. My hope is that people keep shining light on these elusive conditions. So for that -Thank-you

My brother & I are almost Irish twins (a bit over a year apart). We got along well & never fought much or had any sibling rivalry. Maybe because we are so close in age. I think you’re amazing Momming through all the chronic illness stuff!! I’m barely taking care of myself 😂 but it’s getting better after finding drs for EDS & POTS!

Are you considered Irish twins if one was born on February 19, 2007 and the other on December 3, 2008? ^^

P.s. I just learned yesterday the term Irish Twins is offensive. I wouldn't use this term anymore for my own kids.
