From what I've learned, Mama Raccoons typically prefer the "boarding-house reach", meaning she wants to take all the food provided and eat them all to herself without sharing with the kits. Yes, it's often extremely mean and unfair but that's apparently how Mom Raccoons are these days, no way they want to be taught to share lol😂. They are being Mom Raccoons after all: the delightfully cranky, irritated, exhausted, tired mother we typically know and the kits are driving her insane they won't give her a break not one bit.😊

This was a GREAT video I loved watching them eat the grapes, The babies knew to go on the roost plus the mother on high alert. Jim I wish u would keep a good spot light flash light that can light up the whole yard to spook whatever was out there I dont want that bear to sneak up. Awesome video

I love when Mr Blackwood says to the Raccoons "Chew your food. Mother always said chew your food" ❤ I'm always hoping he says it. How cute, the Babies first time eating grapes ! They look so happy ! I'm gonna get some purple grapes today for my crew . I'm always trying to get them to eat fruit &vegetables. Mine will eat spinach or zucchini squash if I mix in some butter or cheese . And I usually mix a few vegetables in with their pasta &cheese &they love watermelon "Hold your head up . Get all the juice" Oh my Goodness how sweet! Your love &affection for them is so genuine and wholesome.

I feed about 15 a night, that includes several babies, but yeah they can get rowdy!! I’m always surprised the adults in Jim’s videos don’t really go at it. I have to feed mine methodically so everyone has a tidbit of food at any given time or they go after one another’s food and bicker. I can’t let my neighbors know I do this because it’s frowned upon here on Long Island so it’s best try to keep them quiet and happy w the foodies! Lol the babies are absolutely precious.
