I'm an American woman, 32 years old and I have never heard of allowing children in to work. I've heard of child care on site as the employer of the parent, IN the same building and company the parents work in. Parents can have lunch or snacks with their kids, Mom's can breast feed their babies. Settle their kids for nap time. Play out on the playground, watch what the kids are doing with CCTV cameras in the day care. Parent and kids see another, have bonding time, and real work gets done and without a screaming toddler having a temper tantrum in the background. Interesting idea though.

This is a good idea when the baby is under a year. Once the kids are over a year they are mobile and want/ need to play & have stimulation. In a work facility the kids over 1 can't get enough stimulation or quite time for naps/ rest. But, I do think it's well good for babies. They can be with their parent, have breastmilk, and don't really need to be entertained.

Allow more mothers to work from home if possible.
@tammiepage6489 Жыл бұрын
But reality check some mothers don’t wanna work from home if you really watch his documentary, there was a mother that didn’t say that that you know she wanted to be mobile but she had some time she want to be with her baby. Some parents are OK with something like this I don’t me personally, I would too You know I’d rather be there than stuck in my home and be able to bring my child work with me some people can handle it and if you can handle it I don’t see the problem. I hate that when people criticize because my thing is this is a parent can handle it then what’s the problem is they can take care of the child, and get their work done. Nothing wrong with it and the whole working from home thing same scenario they can work from home and they can actually bring the child in and a lot of jobs. Do allow parents to work from home. Mothers work from home actually old is Lisa I live they do depends on how long though they do for us certain situation in depends on the job too but not a LL parents have kind of jobs that you can work from home.

Depends where you live in the US. Actually, there are some jobs is rare though it’s very very rare and some jobs are OK will do that cause I know some people they have certain jobs they don’t have childcare but they have allowed them when there’s a certain age they have allowed them and take them to work or possibly work at home but I think when they did this in the UK, I think was more trial run to see how it works

Dumb idea in everyway. One parent needs to stay home with the kids. Doesn't need to be mom, or dad, should be both, one in day time, one in the evening. In truth, people should not live in such a way that both parents must work in order to make a living. Be happy with less, and spending more time with family. Have a garden, can food, work part time at home, watch your friends children. The new generations seem to think they MUST have vacas in far off countries, two cars in the garage, boats, cabins in the woods, golf, bowling, girls night out, guys night out, then date night, it just never ends. If parents don't want to spend time with the kids and spouse then don't marry or have children. Problem then doesn't exist to start with.

My old boss use to let his toddlers roam around the office, I love kids & I'm a mum myself but tbh it wasn't ideal having a children in the office. He wouldn't supervise his kids, one of his son's almost fell down the stairs & the other was pulling out phone cables during calls. Then you'd get grilled by the customer for being disconnected, the screaming child in the background & then grilled by your boss for losing a customer.

I can see this working, but there would have to be a cut off. Under 1 year old is the most crucial time, for bonding with parents, learning about themselves and this big new world etc. The younger ones were no problem, but it was much harder for the mums with toddlers. If I were making the decision, I'd say under 12 months old only.

What no sound cancelling head sets??? I think an on site creche would be much better. I can understand how a lot of the other employees would be pissed at the noise, but I totally feel for the parents. Not everyone plans to have kids and its not always a case of waiting until you can afford them. But single/working parents are losing so much money due to child care, its expensive and the fact that single parents want to go back to work should be praised. Only way I can see it slightly working is if the parents had a separate room which was sound proofed with more room at the cubicles to accommodate the babies but again I think on site creches are the way to go.

Typical male. The problem of childcare haven't been a issue when most of the employees where men? Because men are not responsible taking care of their offspring? In Finland we get child benefits and can stay home to take care our child up to 3 years. First 10 months benefits are higher that you really can stay home. Lots of people have to go to work after that but you get a small benefit until child turns three. If you can work from home or part time or your spouse is getting paid good enough parents can actually take care children at home. And when both parent`s go to work there is guaranteed that you get a place in daycare in 4 month. And the daycare taxes are supported by state so if you have low income you pay less or even nothing and if you have high income you still pay reasonable prize for your child daycare.
