I recently tried a friend's 2021 Pure Drive. It was fun how easy the shot penetration through the court happened. I had to pick large targets to reign in the power. I felt some tenderness after the session. I had my best serving day with the frame. The extra power was noticable and appreciated. If I was going to pick this, I would go with the tour version for some extra plough and incteased stability. I usually play with the Prince Phantom 100p, POG 107, or more recent gravitation to the Diadem Elevate 98 customized.

It's definitely a frame that can be lethal. In right hands some very fast winners can be achieved. Though you gotta watch out for the stiffness.

The noise is maybe due to the buttcap moving. I have a Vcore which make exactly same noise. I removed the replacement grip and again stapled the buttcap with some glue.. now it's perfectly fine. But believe me head is the best in quality ☺️ Although the racquets of Yonex match more in weight and balance but I have seen grommet problems and problems like this in them. All my heads almost match close. AND is this problem still there?? Love HEAD

Hello, Can somebody help me?, i bought the Pure Drive(strung) online today, i asked the tennis shop to measure the specs for me, according to them all specs are pretty much spot on except an extra 6g of weight, they told me balance is 32.5 mm yet when i balance the throat of the racket on my finger it is pretty much evenly balanced, so no towards the head nor the handle.., does this mean the stated 32mm balance is incorrect?.. , by the way the strings are Rmp blast 17g whit an Wilson sensation overgrip , would really appreciate your opinions!

Great review, I've just got 2 PD 2021, it seems like one has a bit of a lighter SW, I was thinking to put a bit of lead at 12, do you think it will be a good idea? FYI, I strung it at 55 and it seems to be sailing a bit short, do you feel at 51lb that it still has a decent amount of control? thanks.
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 3 жыл бұрын
Huge thanks! Putting lead at 12 really makes a noticeable difference. Be careful and don't overdo it. Stringing it that much lower will help with power and I wouldn't say that you'll compromise too much on the control. Also if you add weight at 12 and put the tension down the power might end up being over the top. Keep that in mind!

I used the PD 2021 and i was using the 18 PD, I used RPM Power and strung it at 52 and i felt that the 18 PD have more response. Not sure what happend. I then switched my strings on the PD2018 to the RPM rough, a more muted string, but i still felt that the 18 racket had more response.. So guys can you recommend me strings to pair with the 21 and 18 pd to max out the control and spin and response of the racket. How is it compared to the current pure Aero ( standard version). I have a been playing with head ti.s6 ( a beginner's racquet), and I am really confused which one to buy next. I like to play aggressive from all over the court. I tried my friend's pure aero and liked it, I was using a lot less effort to make same powerful shots I used to make with my head racquet. Only thing is i felt was that I had to make adjustments in my style and add a little top spin in every shot. Unfortunately I can't try pure drive here, so what would you guys suggest me? Pure aero or drive?
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 3 жыл бұрын
Well, the thing is that with the Pure Aero it's way easier to spin the ball. You also get a lot of power with it but not as much as you do with the Pure Drive. If you're saying that you had to adjust your gamestyle by adding more spin to your shots, I'm assuming that it was so because the balls were landing long. If that's the case I would stick to the Aero, because you get more access to spin and enough power but not to a point where it becomes excessive.
@rakshitpareek5709
@rakshitpareek5709 3 жыл бұрын
@@gladiatorstribe balls were sometimes landing long and sometimes straight to net. Probably I am more of a flat hitter, and hence to control the shots I had to add a little bit of top spin in every shot. This wasn't the case with my previous racquet. But I definitely experienced ease in making shots and acces to spin is easy. Unfortunately I had limited time with pure aero, would you recommend it for flat hitting style.. and for pure drive, does it also has same level of ease for both spin and power? I am inclined towards purchasing pure drive, based on KZbin reviews and I only had limited experience with pure aero, hence the confusion
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 3 жыл бұрын
The Pure Aero is definitely made for players that like to spin a lot. The Pure Drive is made for players who are looking for power. If you're looking for easy power on your shots, the Pure Drive can offer that for sure.

@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 3 жыл бұрын
Hola! Muchas gracias!!

Huge thanks for the positive feedback and for spreading the channel! You have no idea how much we appreciate it! @@ivanpalaca6230 Well, actually the Pure Drive has one of the higher stiffness ratings out there. Stiffness is what causes arm problems for some people. The thing is that a powerful racket has to be stiff so that it doesn't bend when taking a shot and the energy doesn't get absorbed by the racket. If you want a powerful frame, the latest normal Pure Drive can certainly deliver. Though arm problems might become an issue. Maybe try something a bit less stiff.
