When I was demoing new frames, I loved this frame. The versatility was awesome! I felt like I could hit anything with tons of precision and control. I could not generate a ton of power or spin, but a change to playing closer to the baseline and attacking the net made up for the lack of power. Loosening string tension with a poly helped the court penetration. The paintjob is awesome. I ultimately passed on it due to increased misses and some soreness. Awesome for all court attacking players.

That's a pretty good summary of the racket actually. It is pretty demanding tho, you're right! Not as demanding as the RF version but still.

I have two Pro Staff Rf97 v11 Autograph, stringed at 52 lbs. A heavy racket with control and flatter strokes, ideal for more agressive players. Can't hit a hard serve after a long match because of the weight (my serve isn't that fast anyways), but it's very accurate.

@gladiatorstribe3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot for the positive vibes! I would bump up the weight of the racket overall and I would make it a little bit more head-heavy. Not too head-heavy though, I still need my elbows 😶 this way you get more stability on the contact and easier penetration.

Would help to know which racquets you usually hit with, to put the comments in perspective. I come from a pro staff tour with a 90 sqinch head and 340g of weight, so to me this new one has a ton of spin potential. If you're used to a pure drive - maybe not.
@gladiatorstribe3 жыл бұрын
We are bouncing our opinions of of the rackets that we use ourselves of course. We are quite different in terms of playstyle and I would say that our rackets cover most of the spectrum. Coming from your frame, I'm assuming any racket would be full of spin potential, wouldn't it? Coming from Al's pure drive, any racket would be lacking spin I give you that one for sure. Except for the pure Aero maybe 😂😂 If you wanna know what rackets we use, check out our "What's in Our Bags" video!!

How does this racquet compare to the Babolat Pure Strike 16*19? Which one has a lower swing weight? PS: nice tweener you pulled off there, you guys are good!
@gladiatorstribe3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much!! Appreciate your awesome feetback! The Pure Strike has a higher swing weight. Both Areg and I prefer the pro staff in every aspect. Feel, control, power and spin. You could argue that the Strike has a better control but for the feel of the pro staff compensates for it.

Hey gladiators loving the content I’m currently having to choose between the head gravity pro and Wilson pro staff 97 Which according to you would be better for an aggressive baseliner who occasionally comes to the net?

Great video Gladiators! Im struggling to pick between this and Yonex Vcore Pro 97. Currently playing with Ezone DR98 but used to play with Prostaff classic 6.1, Prostaff (2015 I think) and Blade 98 (18x20). What do you guys suggest?

What is your grip size recommendation? I am a beginner and looking at getting one. Cheers! Great content and standing by for more ^_^
@gladiatorstribe3 жыл бұрын
Hey, it all depends on the size of your hand! Hold the racket with a continental grip, the distance between your fingers and the palm of your hand should be enough to fit your index finger in between. That just the general rule. It is always better to get a smaller grip if you're not sure. This way you can compensate by putting extra overgrips on top if it feels small. Thanks a lot for the the support!!

I (Grisha) have tried it some time ago and honestly I preferred the feel and the control that I get with the v13. @gladiatorstribe3 жыл бұрын
@@alessandrolopezvelarde3982 If you like the racket because of its design and you really wanna get it, consider the Team version of the Pro Staff. Getting a racket that will last you 5 years at your age is quite hard due to your quick growth. By the time you're 18 you're going to change a lot physically and require a different frame. Actually you'll need a heavier frame earlier than that but getting something like the normal Pro Staff v13 now won't benefit you and might even injure. The team version is a good option though.

How do you guys compare this to the Head Radical Pro (2021)?

Both rackets are quite control oriented! The Radical though, due to the tight string pattern is tilted towards control and feel a bit more than the Wilson. The Pro Staff has a smaller head and it really helps with the feel. Both rackets are great and I would recommend you try them out and see what fits you better!
