I was 38 almost 39 weeks not open no sign of opening and my dr was concerned about stomach pain and vomiting I was having, so we scheduled a c section and they said I had a open window where my uterus was close to rupturing, so unfortunately I did not get my vbac:( this c section was so much easier than the 1st time and a better experience for sure so me and baby girl are safe at home and healthy ♡ I hope you get your vbac!!♡

I am a little late to the game on this video, but trying for a VBAC this October (2023). My c section was august 2021 with my son. I was induced at 41 weeks and was in labor 3 days and got to 7 cm before I was told I was failure to progress and had a c section. My son was 10 pounds 8 ounces and this time around my midwife is hoping I can get my pregnancy weight gain under control to hopefully increase my odds of a Vbac (I gained 65 pounds last time and lost it all after baby, but she thinks that contributed to his large size). I really am hoping things work out this time but really appreciate this video and your channel! Thank you for sharing

First was normal , second everything was fine , went up to 8CM but I was breathing in the wrong way and I ducked her up with my breathing and she didn’t go down anymore and heart was slowing so we had to get a c section and I’m really looking into VBAC.

@@the_birth_nurse thank you, I had a pretty awesome VBAC experience. It was so fast I'm jus so thankful my body knew what to do. It was kinda funny tho, as I was pushing I started to gag from not eating all day (and the pitocin was making me gag as well, I think?) and my doctor said it was helpful cuz my babys head was coming out more with each gag lol and my daughter came out in less than 10 min and about 5 -6 pushes 🙂

How much time frame is needed to have a safe VABC? I changed my doctor 3 times. My third doctor finally agreed for a TOLAC. I had an epidural and I had a successful VBAC. I made midwives brew to induce and I think that it worked a few hours after I drank it I started contractions. My doctor said he wouldn’t induce me to he didn’t want to induce my chance of another csection

@@mariumk5206 hi! Unfortunately it didn't, after 46 hrs of stalled labor at 41 weeks pregnant, I was diagnosed with failure to dilate. My OBGYN, husband and doula always supported me and stayed by my side but it didn't had (labor) the progress it should. Thank God my baby is healthy and growing, she is 16 days old. My c-section recovery has been so much easier than with my older daughter, I didn't expected to recover so fast and feeling great! If you are having a TOLAC soon I wish you the best!! Although I couldn't make it, I know many people actually can. Even though I had a c-section, I know all the hours of labor helped my baby and me in many ways rather than having a previously scheduled cesarean with no TOLAC. I wish you success in any way you deliver your baby and congrats on your newborn!

@@jasbae937 everything went good I went from 1 centimeter to 5 centimets in about 4 hours then it feel out after that nothing was happening for about 12 hours... I was having contractions but no progress so they gave me a lil potosin that didn't work so they stopped it and started it again finally that worked and I had a healthy baby boy ! After 25 hours of labor... I did have a successful vback though it was all worth it !!!

There is more of a risk if you have a vertical incision compared to a horizontal c section also best to be 18 months apart from your last baby , under 37 years old and no complications while pregnant I’m not a medical professional this is just research I just looked up

1st was a c-section 2nd was a vbac, 3rd attempted vbac ended up a c-section, 4th was a c-section they cut through my uterine artery died they didn't listen to go over previous scare, brought me back repaired my uterine artery, my 5th was a c-section and currently it's 7 years after my last c-section and I'm going to do a home birth! I'm in SW FL and no one will a VBAC unless it's a free style birth and doula I have that is supportive but not finding able to find a midwife that will even consider!

You should still be able to! Unless something is urgent you can try a trial of labor! I'm 320lbs and my doctor is letting me! I had to switch obs, find a vbac friendly doctor, you will have to call several hospitals and ask 😊. Good luck im due in May wish me luck
