In a way yes but I’m gonna push back on that a little because the cars they used for this scene weren’t exactly basic. They include a modified debadged STI, a heavily modified WRX tuned to make about 90 more HP than stock among many other cool performance goodies, and possibly the coolest of the bunch a WRX with a drivetrain modified to RWD. This car is a lot more like the ones Takumi raced against than his 86.

@@jasonander4964 330 whp. You're right, for that one, that was the one that took the majority of the stunts. The other 3 were essentially stock components or STI turbo swapped. Still low power relative to the passengers. Many of the stunt shots had no passengers inside; this explains why they're able to do many maneuvers. Otherwise the car would've barely had any torque to recover in a "cool" way
