Tires are toys. Every time Pyi Mai and Chaba see a tire, they do not hesitate to engage with it. It is funny to see them compete over a tire after Chaba entered an enclosure. They each tried to gain control of the tire in their own space. When Chaba wasn't certain how to find a way out, Pyi Mai immediately rushed to her, leaving the tire behind. Female elephants have strong protective instincts and always watch out for the youngest in their herd. This starts very young with older siblings taking care of the babies. We see this here with Pyi Mai looking out for Chaba and when Wan Mai protected Pyi Mai when they were a herd. I still remember when Dok Mai protected her baby brother Dok Rak from a little small trough of water in the ground.

Ok, aside from her running to her friend,..OMG, an elephant 🐘, like a dog, trying to get out by sneaking under the fence!!,..incredible, don't think I've ever seen an elephant, crawl like that,..when I see them, to me at first sight, it just doesn't seem they could be that limber, flexible,..I use to think they'rejoints wouldn'tallow it,..and they so crack me up with how they play a little footsie trying to get the tire from each other,.and how the one was absolutely is carrying the tire along with her,..I thought she'd just abandon it completely at first, but she had it rolling right next to her, against the fence,..she always had it in her sights you know,..wonderful beings, we so need to respect them, and nature, and all the planet's inhabitants,..just like us as humans, handing down our history,..to the next generations, they have history as well,..I wish we could understand them more,..they can hand down their inherent history to us,..Godspeed, long healthy, happy life to them, all their kind, and, and to those who care for them,.....

We really need to re-examine our perceptions of the other creatures of this world-- whether mammal, bird, reptile, fish, etc. Until this generation, we never had enough information about most creatures to see their intelligence. We did not have the technology to see them in their own surroundings, behaving naturally. Now, watching these two babies reminds me of watching my own children when they were toddlers. Maybe they don't develop as far as we do... or maybe we just don't understand how far they develop. They don't speak our language, but that does not mean they don't speak their own. And before thinking, "if they were as smart, they would speak our language," think how arrogant that is. Why don't we speak theirs?

so wan mae is a cute wrecking ball (goes through wood fences to see if the grass is truly greener on the other side) 😁+ ninja (with her mini kicks).. lil chaba is such a magician (going in between & under steel bars) + just plain adorable... pyi mai is a saint for having to put up with the 2 & loving every minute of it for sure 😆😆🤗. strong bonds the lil ellies have. we are very lucky to see all of them thrive and grow strong and happy. thank u ENP! well done

All World Leaders should be made to watch videos like this. If they are truly Great Leaders they will do their part to take care of elephants, and all other species with which we Share Earth. Great Leader are strong, yet empathetic. Brilliant, yet eager to learn. Experienced, yet willing to try new things. Fair and Just, but also know no situation is black or white. There are also many shades of gray so a sense of balance is necessary. Great Leaders also have big hearts. They will forgive, but usually not more than once.
