What a sweet and loving mom! So strong! I am a former coordinator for pediatric open heart surgical service. I adored my little patients. I'd love nothing more than to hug Ellie's parents. I always hugged my heart patients' parents. I gave their little ones the best care. I still think about them. Are they well and strong? How much have they've grown? Wiping tears now. Sending so many blessings to Ellie and her family.

Very similar to my story. My baby was in 9 weeks, I couldn't touch him for a week, I remember like yesterday the moment I put my arms out to receive him. Hess 22 now. I'm 63, raised him alone, no family or friends.

"The baby is born alive, and just left alone until it's heart stops beating"... 😭😭😭 WHY is this acceptable AND practiced?? That broke me.

It is allowed when the baby is deemed "not compatible with life" by the doctors and the parents sign off on "no extraordinary life saving methods" to be used.
@JustBethTrying4 жыл бұрын
I wonder if she meant left alone as in abandoned or allowed to pass without intervention. One is cruel. One is kind.
@lovingmayberry20004 жыл бұрын
So "left alone" just means the baby dies of dehydration and starvation. Dehydration alone is EXTREMELY painful! WTF???
@lacey.alexandria4 жыл бұрын
@@lovingmayberry2000 she said this option had to be done before 20 weeks. At 20 weeks the lungs aren't formed and the baby would die within a couple of minutes. That's what they mean by "left alone"....without medical intervention

This precious baby shares the same name as my baby brothers daughter. She was born early with a condition that was where she couldn't be given any treatment to save her life and she passed away in his and his wife's arms in 2013. I still don't know the name of her condition. I knew what my brother was going through a bit. In 1989 I was just shy of my 18th birthday and I delivered my first born baby which was named micHEALia Kristina after my parents. My daughter was born sleeping after I fell ill while I was pregnant. She is was a perfect 42 week old baby. She had a autopsy done and they said that some of her organs were underweight but other than that she was fine. So both my brothers daughter and my first daughter are in heaven. I'm glad this young mother didn't have to go through the pain of losing the precious babygirl.

From what i've read, Noonan's kids look a little different, but they are just as capable as other kids. Being an adult with disability, all ability levels have value. You are blessed with the child you need and not necessarily the one you "Think" you wanted. I have 6 kids. 5 have ADHD and 3 of them have some reading difficulties. But they are all beautiful and well behaved kids. Some just need a bit more exercise than most. It all evens out. ❤
