On 30th September 2013, Sean McHugh (19) an apprentice Bricklayer had been in the laundrette on Priory Road doing his washing. From Walton originally, although not a gang member, he had naively moved into a flat in the rival gang’s territory (the Laneheads) home turf area of Anfield.

If they have no remorse - justice system shoudn't show them any remorse either.

Agreed. And even if they do show remorse, how do you know if they’re actually sorry for what they did? Or are they just thinking about themselves, and the fact that they got caught? Some of these narcissists could win an Emmy with the act they can put on. Just saying! 🤔

If a 13 year old boy/girl is capable of doing that, then if they grow up,they can do so much worse..lock them behind bars for atleast 90 years,so if they have the chance of getting out, they are old enough to do such things again

They need more parental supervision and control. If they won't behave for the parents then the parents need to involve the proper authorities instead of throwing their hands up and letting them do as they please just to avoid the conflict.

You guys need to come up with a rico law like we have in the U.S. where the leader and all related in the crime can be put away by the actions of the group. We basically used it to put the heads of the mafia away.

I hate the way these people use the phrase "wrong place at the wrong time". Since when is the local laundromat the "wrong place"? Going to a store to do business during the store's business hours is never "the wrong place at the wrong time". To say otherwise makes zero sense. It suggests that the victim did something wrong or foolish by going to the location and that's not the case at all. The truth is that these killers are the wrong people to allow to exist in society. They are the problem, they are what's wrong... it's not the place or the time that's wrong.

@@yankeetherebel It is documented as far back as the beginning of the 20th century, though it is unknown from that point. It just means that a situation is out of your hands. For example..If you would have been caught at a traffic light a minute longer..then you would not be in the path of a crash. It still means the same even when dealing with violence from another. Similar to the butterfly effect. Change one small thing.. and it ripples. Either way, it's a situation beyond your control that is no fault of your own. It's just referencing how such things can happen to any of us at any time, and we would never forsee to change it.

There's a term, "wilding," that is used to describe this sort of pack behavior. It's scary what a "pack" of kids can get up to. Not excusing their behavior at ALL I firmly believe juvenile courts/laws need to be MUCH harsher. The system is hellbent on excusing horrific crimes because they don't know what to make of them. So , when these kids turn 18, they spend the rest of their lives in and out of prison. BROKEN SYSTEM breeds more broken kids.

What hope of finding work and building a future do they have? Lack of hope, opportunity and dreams causes hopelessness and to survive they have to harden their compassion and empathy. The same is happening in the states in spades with gun violence. Maybe unfettered capitalism is a failed social experiment? I have no answers only questions.

Not that it make it right but I paused it on one of the newspaper articles and it said the victim was linked to a rival gang. Anyone know if that was true? It certainly was a terrible tragedy either way, but they did a good job of painting the victim in the best light possible. I'm only a few minutes in but no mention of it yet.
