Thank you, Larry! This was an unexpected treat! Please be careful on the snow and ice. One fall can break a hip - like my eldest sister did last year). It can also cause a nasty concussion, like what happened to my other sister last year. She saw slush and thought all the ice had melted. She was wrong. 2 ft off of the back porch she slipped, and hit her head on a concrete planter. It was still sore more than 6 months after it happened.😣 I stay indoors during ice or snow events. I have had 7 spine surgeries and I cannot afford a fall. Please be very careful, Larry. We've been cold enough to snow during this particular cold event, but it hasn't & I'm grateful! This is a low elevation area of western Oregon,

It was so nice getting my dopamine rush first thing this morning. Thank you, Larry! All the kids are getting so big! Mokolo seems to be taking a more active role with Kayembe. I'm not sure Kayembe is happy about that. Kebi doesn't quite have the flip mastered like Freddy does. Tusa had some bed head going on. I was surprised N'neka wasn't up high. The group looks wonderful. The keepers are doing a great job!

My precious kayembe needs more training to be nicer when he plays with his two little sisters. I think sometimes he just gets carried away by excitement but he doesn't want to be rough.😂😂😂❤❤❤Larry thank you so much. I miss your videos.❤❤❤

I don't believe my eyes. Did Keyembe pout like the 3 year old he is? I am always amazed to see such similar emotions between gorilla and humans. When Kayembe was disciplined by big daddy, I could see attitude with Keyembe. (Maybe it was my imagination). Either Keyembe wasn't happy dad stopped the fun, or Keyembe (kind of stomped off mad because he doesnt like to be told what to do, like all 3 year olds), and especially if that 3 year old wants to be the boss of the two babies. Just like my older sister, she always was bossing me around, wrestling me, teasing me, but when dad said enough, her lip would come out and there she would go pouting and saying, "I was just having some fun. I realized years later, children try to please their parents. When disciplined, humans can have that embarrassment feeling, or disappointed in themselves by not doing what is expected. Like all kids, they move on... but for Keyembe, it took some gnawing on a tree limb for a minute or two, and soon he was back bouncing around and being the ornery big brother we are accustomedtoseeing.😅

Happy morning to me! A video posted by Larry. Got my coffee and settled into my favorite chair showing MY grandkids their favorite troop. You should have heard them in unison go wooooooow when big Daddy-o Makolo came on screen. My 9 year old said “I would have peed my pants if that thing loomed over me!” I didn’t even know he knew that word and he used it.correctly😊 Thanks Larry

Kayembe play so well with Kunda I remember thinking how I wish he had some playmates and now they’re big enough he can actually play with them. I’d love the little boy gorilla. I think he’s so cute. Oh I guess he is getting too rough. I guess it’s time to take a break. Look at Jamila with her check box. LOL that’s so funny. The dad is very good at correcting Kayembe. Stay warm, Larry that sure is cold. Maryland is 17 degrees. Glad the gorillas aren’t in the cold. Kayembe makes me laugh with his arm and then he stands there and stares as she eats. Hi Larry. Thanks 🙏 for this treat. I live too far away to visit. I think one day I 'll make the 6 hour trip just to see Mokolo's family in person. Larry, do you find that Freddy is even more protective of Jameela now? When she moved away from Kayembe she grabbed Jameela along as if to say come with me. She appears less comfortable letting Jameela play with Kayembe.

Larry could u me tonight to Cleveland zoo that Japan has a gorilla family the Momotaros that need help. They have no females for the males. Who should I cantact?

FYI you will want to check the Japanese zoo website to see if they are affiliated with any branch like Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Be advised some gorilla groups are designated as bachelor groups. Where males only live together for maybe 10-20 years. That is consistent with what you may find in the wild.
