Hey Dan, I'm so glad that your still completing projects! I love you channel. I'm a father of 4 and make my children's pinyatas for their birthdays. I wanted to say that your work has been an inspiration to me. I bought one of your books and used it to create the pinyata for my youngest sons birthday. I wish I had a tenth of your talent. Really cool little dragon. I've been saving up my newspapers to take a stab at making one of the dragons heads. Am crossing my fingers that it will come up at least as recognizable. Next, have to work on making all those little teeth, claws, and spikes. Your work is amazing!

Crazy suggestion - cover the eyes with a beauty product facial mask that dries to a thin, peel-off film. That way you could pull off the paint and facial mask material with less risk of scratching the glass eyes with the metal tool.

Very nicely done! Your work inspired me to try out cloth maché myself. I've started on a piranha plant but I'm not quite sure how to do the two leafs it's got. It sort of the same like you do your dragon wings, but do you put the skin on just one side or both? I mean between the wings. Thank beforehand, and again, great video!

Hola Daniel. Mezclé el comercial "Celluclay" con pegamento blanco y papel higiénico para hacer una sustancia parecida a la masa. Lo enrollé en bolas y lo aplasté sobre el trofeo.

The eyes are glass, so the paint peels right off. It also comes off the Fimo, but it's more work.

Thank you! Yes I do use hot glue to hold on the spikes until I add the cloth and glue skin. The glue is not very hot. It is meant for craft projects so the temperature is not very high.

After sculpting with paper mache pieces I add a "skin" of cloth (bed sheets) dipped in white glue. I call the process "cloth mache."

Thank you. Yes, I do add a "skin" of cloth (bed sheets) dipped in white glue. I dubbed the process "cloth mache" for lack of a better term. Take care Dan

Thank you! I use wire clothes hangers, usually the white kind. I'm not sure what gauge that is.
