Just a tip, car seat inserts that are don't come with the car seat aren't safe. A great alternative is rolled receiving blankets. Of course, do your own research, just a bit of into :)

Car seat tech here! Do not use ANY car seat accessories that did not come with your car seat. Any aftermarket accessories are NOT crash tested and void the safety of your car seat.

louise bridges it is NOT tested by NHTSA, therefore not safe. They sought out independent testing which lets them claim it's been tested but they were not held to the strict testing that everyone else abides by

Just a note to some of the people commenting. the car seat cover isn’t really used in the car. Since the seat is removable and there are various weather conditions it’s nice to put it on when walking around or putting baby in a shopping cart and also keeps people from touching baby.

Do a video on baby things you didn't end up using at all! I wanna know like all the practical things for a baby. I feel like a lot of videos on that are like 'newborn essentials' are just full of unnecessary stuff that I would never use. I had to buy the same car seat insert, I know they're not permitted but my little one's head kept getting creaked... my son was born the same day as Layla, I can't believe it's already been 2 weeks!

Olivia Koury you could try two small face towels rolled really tight and put on each side of the head. That's what I do. It doesn't look cute but it was recommended by the hospital

My oldest is 32 and youngest is 17. They sure have some amazing things now compared to when my kiddos were babies ! Can't imagine what they'll come up with 20 years from now ! And Kayli, you're so awesome 😊

Thanks for sharing these product, I really appreciate these videos right now because my sister is pregnant and i'm going to be an aunt for the first time this August. I'm super excited and i really want to help out and get her some things i know she'll need and appreciate. It's really great to hear from a mom of not only a newborn but a mom that has had multiple babies because i know that i can trust the items you have suggested if i buy one for my new niece. I'm the youngest in my family, i'm turning 20 in May so it's been a long time since we've had a baby in the family and a lot of things my parents used when my siblings and i were babies have advanced so I like to come on KZbin and hear from moms who have had babies more recently so i know what products are good quality. My daughter is one and I still use the boppy now. When she has a cold I put it under her mattress to incline her slightly so she isn't so congested.

I wish they had the Halo bassinet and swaddles when I had my daughter. I like the bath tub, I had one that was on a metal frame like a bouncy seat that had a mesh cover. The metal was coated with something that made it water proof. It is crazy how quickly things change. You are an awesome mom by the way. I am glad I found your channel. I Love how the older siblings want to hold and help with Layla. She is so precious. I look forward to seeing more of your journey.💖🍼👶🏻

Love the content! Our daughter was super congested and we use a nose frida. We were using the saline drops but they got super messy when she learned that she could turn her head away from them lol. We tried the boogie saline mist and it has been a game changer! It's super gentle, quick, and not messy at all!! Plus you can use it while baby sits up ❤️

You as a new mom vs me as a new mom......I was a zombie. in my defense I was mourning the loss of my dad (3 days prior to my daughter's birth). I think its great that you're breastfeeding after c-section I see so many moms who just can't get through the pain, so I'm really happy that you've been able to do that. she's adorable by the way!

Kaylee you might want to buy the American Red Cross baby first aid kit because the booger sucker you can clean it out I love it for both of my children 5 and 2 and I've had him since my five-year-old born and he can go in the dishwasher you open the back of it up so no germs can reinfect if your baby is sick or if they're just stuffed up to clean the boogers out! definitely love being able to clean it out properly

The only thing beside the obvious basic needs, is a warm steam vaporizer (Vicks)- for nights when the baby has a cold & a bulb to clear the nose.

I'd be interested to hear about that decision too. They did mention in a recent video on their vlog channel that Casey needs to be closer to Salt Lake City due to his business and she said she'd like to be closer to her family now. I'm sure it's a bittersweet decision to make though since the cousins seem to have had so much fun being right next door to one another.

Car seat infant inserts that did not come with the car seat or are not the same brand as the car seat are NOT recommended....they are not crash safety tested with the car seat, so it is unknown how it might impact the baby in the event of a crash. :( It's better to be safe. The market doesn't make this aware for parents and it's quite unfortunate. If your infant needs more head support in their car seat, use tightly rolled receiving blankets to place along their side.

On Pinterest look up nose syringe (what you call "booger sucker") fungus. I used hot water and soap and tried to clean mine but once you cut one of those open....Never again will I use one. Nose Frida is my BFF 👍😁 where did you get your sweater? So cute!

Seriously, when are you getting Winston out of your bed? I don't mean to sound rude I promise!! But I personally slept in my parents bed until well over the "normal age". It got to the point that when I had to start sleeping in my own room, my mom couldn't leave me. She started sleeping in my "big kid" bed with me. It out a strain on my parents relationship because they were sleeping apart. I totally understand not wanting your kids to be far away. But trust me, it was so so so hard for me (and I'm sure my parents) to prolong the process of teaching me to sleep alone. I still to this day- at age 25- struggle with sleeping alone. It doesn't feel right.

They ended up getting a divorce a year later for other reasons, but I'm pretty sure I was also part of the problem. I bedshare with my son, but I currently have no relationship to think about so I don't mind. Lol

Sleeping a part does not put a strain on the relationship. Don't blame yourself for that. Intimacy can be had in MANY DIFFERENT WAYS AND PLACES than when you're SLEEPING. Many couples sleep in different rooms and actually have better relationships because they get better sleep. If they split up I highly doubt it's because they bed shared with you.

You aren't supposed to use any products in or on a car seat that didn't come with the actual car seat. All car seats are tested with their own belts, parts, etc. Upon impact, the accessory you add to the car seat could cause something to malfunction and not protect your baby the way the seat was meant to.
