Everyone captures a pup to free from truly terrible wounds created by the entanglements of human carelessness. If the seals could properly thank you I a, sure they would, instead they pause to look back, just before they run back to the ocean. I know you try and keep count of how many seals you rescue, which is an amazingly high number, but one thing you cannot measure is the amount of pain and suffering that you have stopped and relieved for these beautiful, sweet, innocent animals. Seal #1 was so thankful that the looong line was removed that he just wanted to hang out for awhile to thank his rescuers. Tony had to shoo him off for the salt water portion of his treatment. Well done everyone! 🦭🌊💙

From the thumbnail, I thought one seal was entangled in a sort of braided dog collar only to realise, viewing the video, that it was actually exposed flesh and blood. So sad. He must have suffered so. Many terrible wounds on this day. Thank you OCN for saving so many and doing it with care and gentleness.

That first entanglement was horrible!😢 At first I thought there was something red around the seal's neck, but then I saw that awful wound. The poor pup was so confused when he came out of the net, but now he'll live. Thanks, Roman and Antoine!👏

Naude broke the Cling Wrap on seal #6 with his bare hands--but it was strong enough to eventually unalive the seal if not removed. Thanks, Naude!🦭♻️

Saving this many seals from torture is amazing. I have stopped buying any clothing that's made out of polyester / plastics.

Plant fibres are just as destructive. The issue is our ingenuity in weaving/knitting the fibres to create fabric with much more durable qualities. I‘d recommend cutting old clothes into flat planes, aka destroying the holes we so often see. Unless you’re donating them, of course. There’s no solution we as consumers can bring about, the pollution is a systemic issue. Just go by what you can afford, and don’t blame yourself if you have no choice but to take the cheapest option. The important part is „no choice“, because that’s the system I‘m talking about…

I knew after yesterdays double rescue that there would be more in that group that needed help. Talk about mass chaos and so many that needed help! I thought the first seal was being strangled by something red, but then I realized it was a horrific wound. SO glad that the team caught and removed so many entanglements, but SO depressing that there were THAT many to remove. Thanks, OCN, for being there and protecting these precious creatures 💙

Poor seal #2! I couldn't believe how long that piece of recreational fishing line was that Roman was pulling out of his neck! That thin line cuts so quickly and so deeply and causes such serious wounds! Thanks for removing it!🙏
