Great video, thank you! Do you know if Similac changed their Organic A2 formula? I saw looked at the Pro-Advanced, Organic A2 Gengle and Organic fomulas by Similac, and the Organic A2 does not have Organic Corn Maltodextrin. You saw this in your video and a lot of website still list it as an ingredient. But those I saw at Target do no have Organic Corn Maltodextrin but Lactose. The same goes for Organic Sugar. This was listed as an ingredient and still is on a lot of websites, but not on a box of Organic A2 as of today.

When you say “constipation” do you mean actual hard stool or are referring to more infant “dyschezia”/the seeming that they struggle to pass stool?

I was told my daughter has cmpa, I tried all the US hypoallergenic formulas and she had either constant gas or watery poops. She spit up constantly it was awful. I saw enfamil a2 and I dove into research and now she's doing so awesome with the A2!

Hi there. I think Similac did a big ingredient change on their new Organic A2 formula and failed to announce it. Look at the ingredients on the Abbot (parent company) page versus the Similac page. The corn maltodextrin and sugar looks to be replaced with just Lactose now! I ran upstairs to check which version we have and its the one full of crap. :-( Switching from that to the next can being 100% lactose could be a very big, painful deal for some babies. Personally I really would rather avoid corn and sugar for my 7 week old so was planning to switch to a different formula soon, so the recipe change could be welcome here. It is just SO different and frustrating that no one has said anything. I'm not sure if the 100% lactose version is the new recipe (I hope so) or the old? And if it is how do I make sure we get the right formulation when we order his food? Ugh. I just wanted to be sure you were aware and could alert your followers. I'd love a new article/video comparing the 3 A2 formulas on the market now, Similac (whichever recipe it is now), Gerber, and Enfamil with specific and current ingredients as well as casein to whey ratios and carb sources with percentages. I knew about the change and was very excited about it! I just bought some to transition my baby to. I only heard about it from a Facebook group about formula feeding. I'm disappointed that Dr. Young isn't responding consistently to comments, especially one as important as yours!

I am so excited to learn about Similac's new recipe for this. I want to avoid the corn sugars and I love that similac doesn't use palm oil and that this is organic. Thanks for sharing! Curious about the whey to casein ratios.

I bought Similac A2 on 4/21/21 at Target & it has corn maltodextrin & only 16 mg of choline per serving. Cutrently, Abbott's website listed the new formulation without corn maltodextrin & 24 mg choline, which I think is a huge improvement. I'm disappointed the old version is still on shelves. Is anyone getting the latest version elsewhere? If I can't get my hands on the latest version, Enfamil's A2 looks great too, it's not organic, but their A2 milk is sourced from Europe (EU generally has clean & happy farms).

I breastfeed my baby girl but she seemed like she was in constant dicomfort and I had no idea why. So I am currently weaning her. And in the process I've tried different formulas on her. She refuses ALL of them but the emfamil A2 formula. Do you think its because of digestive issues? She hasn't been fussy like she was. She sleeps better and burps better too.

Took baby off goats milk formula as he still suffered from constitutions put him on fever soothe pro but had seen this A2 at the store when I was purchasing and almost went with it. If we have obvious GI issues, would this be a best step? All previous formulas were lactose reduced.

We have a child with autism that had massive trouble with A1 milk.all children under age 3 should avoid A1 infant formula and A1 milk.Listen to this lady.This must be taken seriously.

@@neeks6369 bought Similac Pro 2'-FL HMO but wasn't happy with it as it wasn't easy to dissolve completely, didnot have probiotics in it so ended up buying Gerber A2 Non GMO and with probiotics

when i looked at gerber's website it showed corn maltodextrin in the ingredients list (but in the 2% or less section)...you said 100% lactose? so it's in there but not a source of carbs?

Enfamil a2 is the only thing my son can drink that doesn't make him spit up or have gas! He even had problems with breast milk. It's amazing! Wish it was around last year when my first was born

I just purchased this Gerber for my 3mth old lastnight, hopefully it works he was on Gerber Gentle. But he started with bad reflux currently on Gerbor Soy helps a ton with reflux but now gets constipated. After running threw breast milk and the whole Gerber line I am at my end!!!!! I just want him to poop regular without reflux... God I hope it works 😭😭😭

@@glammedbynatalia He is doing I will say ok for the most part thanks for asking. We are on our 3rd 20oz can. He is definitely pooping regularly every two days but it's thick dark green not seedy and brown like before. His reflux seems to be about the same as with soy I get two small spit ups after feeding and one big one that usually hits the floor probably about two tablespoons. Still burping easily over all as long as he's not constipated I am ok. Kinda want to try the original Gerber Gentle again just to see if his poop gose back to normal but I probably won't because his little tummy needs to rest. The formula is expensive basically $30 from Walmart and doesn't come in the extra large can like Sooth & Gentle.
