a baby is a baby no matter the species. i felt like i could literally hear and feel the fear of the baby when momma left and at 1:24 the almost reassurance. and when momma came over in the water she went right up to the baby and got in eye sight to comfort it. So sweet

Yes Mochi, and to Spinach up there, many animal moms abandon their young for the smallest reasons. My dad left my mom when i was 7 , so as a male, i had no father, until i was like... 20 and he decided to try reconnecting with me... Like thinking, dad " we can be freinds, but my step-dad is doing a great job. " 😐

This is making me cry 😭 little baby seal was calling out for its mama! I am glad that it eventually got to learn to swim. I just wish the mama seal didn’t have to leave its baby so soon…10 days of bonding is just too short! 😭 then it’s all about survival from that point forward!

Sadly, It's their way of survival, just 10-15 days of bonding after birth, and parents will go back Hundreds of miles to the Breeding place. So baby seals must be tough and learn so well Quickly

It makes me want to go gather baby seals like this and chill with them on day 11. I know it’s not good for them in the wild but I just picture this thing crying for mom and she’s gone. The sounds and those eyes, that’s got to be a defense mechanism so no one will hurt it, but we all know those assholes who wear seal coats.

@@castonyoung7514 a quick google search and you can pick between two from Saks, one is roughly 1800 and the other in the 6,000 range. If you want the names of people who I know have bought them, I’m not going to do that because I’m not doxxing them or myself, I only know two people. Famous people, the Hilton family matriarchs are one example. Paris Hilton, an animal lover, refused to wear the one she inherited, don’t remember what she did with it.

what's cool to see is how protective the mother is being, looking around all over and under water too. making sure it's safe. also the baby seal sounds like a steam engine that needs some more steam. that or he/she is going to ball their eyes out at any moment.

They are mostly abandon but if they will stay the pup will be too dependent on his mother and the mother can't make more pups , ik its a sad truth but at least they have a happy life especially in they're first days
