What an ingenious strategy, Naude. Not only were the rest of the seals undisturbed but the release seal just casually ambled away, and paused as if to say 'nothing to see here folks'. That was by far one of the very best single handed capture-aid-release plans executed to date.

Wow, two years ago, and this is still an amazing video. The fact that Naude was able to be so close without scaring them is amazing. It's so cool that Naude was willing to spend so much time sneaking up on them so that he wouldn't disturb them is amazing too.

Naude, this was such a VERY smooth and stealthy approach, net, removal and return!! This mom showed almost no trauma. I just love that her and her baby were not separated for long. Over an hour of creeping and crawling and yet you were so careful and gentle and mindful of the entire colony🥰

Incredible work, incredible dedication. I love the work you do. Thank you for saving those animals. On other hand, why those fishing people and a tourists are never informed not to leave or put anything in to the water. I know many of them will not cooperate with the information, but believe me, many of them they don't even think that throwing some things can hurt an animals. They should be informed. On the beach, on the boat. Costs nothing, saves a lot of animals.
